I didn't write that last post very well. Looks a bit like I'm saying I'm fixing mine and it keeps coming unfixed. No. Mine is broken and I can't fix it. What I was saying I've heard they can be fixed just by pulling them apart and cleaning the inside. I read a thread about reconditioning them and all they did was pull it apart, clean it - get the can electroplated - and put it back together. No, all I've done to mine so far is clean the contacts - and that hasn't helped.

My XY wipers seem to have given up. I've googled a bit but come up with nothing in the way of clues about troubleshooting or possible/probable breaks. Seems they just give up after a while and pulling them apart and cleaning them fixes it. That's the best I've been able to come up with. A mate suggested maybe an XF motor would fit or could be made to fit. Wonder if there's any knowledge about this on this forum? Be good if I could fix it....
