  1. Sorry to cause confusion but does the adapter I need just fit onto the steel line coming from my xf to connect to the flexible rubber pipe that goes to the ed diff and t piece. I had planned to use all of the ed plumbing that came on the diff, steel lines and flexible lines on the calipers etc.

  2. Hi all, just picked up an e series diff for my

Xf and wanted to know if anyone knows what the part number is for the brake line adapter that I need to connect the brake line. From what I have read elsewhere, I am happy to use the ed brakes, so can I just get this adapter and keep with the ed t piece and flexible lines to the calipers. Cheers for any help :)

  3. Fucking knock the wall out ando. Skinny garages need to be hit with a high speed forklift. IMO.

I got the shed in a kit form and already have put the uprights up and it is all concreted in. Had I not already concreted the floor I might have made the opening wider but now that its all in I won't bother. Just have to breathe in when I back into the skinny door haha.

  4. Just did the tape through the windows trick. Came up with 2100 overall mirror to mirror so this will only leave me with 75mm either side of mirrors to get her in :( will be a snug fit but will just have to be on the ball to do it. Lucky I don't drive it too often hey!!

  5. Hey gang, just wanted to know if anyone has an accurate width of their xf from left to right mirror. The xf specs say overall width as 1860mm or so but I have tried to measure mine in my carport from mirror to mirror and it seems more like 2100mm. The reason I ask is because I want to install a new roller door on my shed and the opening is only 2250mm, just didn't want to have to fold in a mirror every time to back it in. Anyone else fitted theirs into skinny door ways?? Cheers for the help :)

  6. Hi all, I am thinking of replacing the diff in my xf sedan from 2.77 to 3.45 and wanted to put it behind my t5. The speedo is spot on at the moment as I got the gear changed to suit my 15inch rims but cannot remember the colour of it. I am hoping to fit a eb-ef lsd and from my calculations the speedo will be out about 25%. Has anyone else done a similar conversion and remember what gear to put on the speedo sender? Cheers for any help :D

  7. if ya over fill manuals all that usally happens is they spit oil out the breather

i abuse the shit out of my T5 its yet to shit (the only thing i don't do it full on clutch dumps)

i use dextron 3 and lubrizol additive (special additive for T5 gear boxes  )

Cheers mate, I will go with some of that. My engine is all stock so shouldn't have to worry bout killing it, I don't dump the clutch, just carry a bit of weight in the tub from time to time so it should hold together for a few more years.

  8. Hey fellas, just wanted to check my oil level in my xf t5 gearbox and I don't have a hoist. Was thinking if I jacked up the drivers side of my ute and checked it that it may seem a little low because of the angle that the ute will be on. I will prob top it up until it runs out of the bung although it may be a little overfull, surely more is better than less oil. Anyone got any better suggestions? Just checking it because it sometimes can be difficult to select first and third gears. I am hoping that it is as simple as low fluid and not a bent selector fork. Cheers for any input!
