  1. As soon as I get an answer of what you guys thing I should get in the efi I’m not going to order one, you guys have more knowledge than the Facebook warriors. I’m just after improved efi cam instead of putting another stock one back in, if you have any links ect would be much appreciated :)

  2. Sorry to bug ya guys again. Look I’m in a hassle I’ve spoken to crow cams and they said the Crow Cam 14221 isn’t comparable for efi motors but everyone else is saying there the best to go with efi motor. If anyone can link me the best cam I can go with through crow would be appreciated as I’m going to buy following parts through them aswell! Cheers

  3. Awesome, thanks for the input mate really appreciate it! I’ve been searching the core cam website but can’t come across efi 250 cam or timing chain ect, if you had some spare time could you please link me to the items that would go best with the freshen up? Not wanting something overboard just to freshen it up! I’ll keep in mind with the rubbers also might just buy the kit from rare spares they won’t top dollar though

  4. Sweet awesome I’ll keep a look out. Also what’s the going rate for a freshen up on my motor? Nothing major just a small/mild cam and freshen up, anyone have someone that would like to take on the job? Also best cam for a efi motor without changing ecu/ratios and stuff, can’t find a part number for one that isn’t stock and will work with a stock setup efi. Cheers.

  10. The guard is looking really good. Should need minimal filler by the looks of it

Thanks mate, trying my best to get the car to a great body with as little “bog + fillers” as I’ve seen afew x series where they have a great paint job but you can see where they have rust few years down the track.

  11. Today’s progress was great. There is afew photos of went on today. Quiet happy with the outcome. Had 2 great guys come out and cut weld up my rust sections. Boot seal, mudflap, corner 1\4 as they found abit on the end also. They went the extra mile when repairing the inner guard then rust converting it to 110% make sure no rust comes back! To me the job looks well don’t and they did there best so the painter wouldn’t have to use as much filler when time for paint! Next step to try and get my painter to come out and inspect,or if falls through search for a new painter. Slowly getting there day by day.

  12. Just a tip,  use as little of the rust repair panel as you can. The more of the patch you use, the harder it is to get lined up. They are reproduction panels, not New Old Stock (NOS).

Cheers mate I get what you mean there not an exact fit still need slight modifying!

  13. Hi all today picked up the rust repair pieces from Resto Country Spares in Moorabbin. Have got the boot channel (full length) also the rear lower quarter. Hopefully tomorrow they (should) be welded in depending if my rust guy can come out. He’s just having trouble coming down as he can’t fit his welder in his car, but he’s a good bloke and seen some of his work aswell. 59ddebcf798264b3f59d707d3438b4bb.jpg884366bc56d9350d62b8df047c0a3b99.jpg7b47d7f5eb2288e1b3cd4ab7ac2c6aeb.jpg

  14. you'll have to go back to metal near the battery area i suspect.
you'll have to go searching for painting tips, they've been covered in detail in many threads recently

I have watched the whole sigma build series already that guy is awesome and does a great job not just a “backyarder” job! Awesome bloke!

  15. Hi all! Anyone got any info/videos of the prep of an engine bay and what to use to sand down corrosion and paint peeling? Also ways to fill a few unused holes! I’ve heard wet and dry. Just don’t know what grit to start and finish with! Cheers! (This is best photo I have atm of the bay,see how’s its bumpy and flakey paint) IMG_5737.jpg
