I’ve priced up a few 6-71 kits over the years, you won’t get much change from about 8500, then it can be on the street.
It would be totally awesome to have a 6-71

Either would be cool, can’t go wrong with boost.

They would be a really good upgrade, still doesn’t fit under the bonnet tho.

The air gaps are suppose to be better for cooling??? I run a 1 inch spacer on mine, doubt I’d notice any difference between the rpm and the rpm air gap.

I swapped the AU one off my 302w and the associated EFI gear for a brand new carb edlebrock rpm intake.

I remember those intake AU manifolds going for heaps in NZ, good up grade over the shit E series ones.

No didn’t end up getting it in the end, that was a few years ago. It was a genuine S pac Ute in chestnut with seirra tan interior. Factory 4 spd.
I showed too much interest as it was cheap as shit, but then the guy jacked the price up.

It’s like trying to get stuff to Alice Springs, can wait sometimes 3 to 4 weeks.

au 5.0 a/c pump hits the passenger side chassis rail in an xd/e/f/g not sure about e series 5.0 a/c pump
Yes that is correct with the AU, Scotty Sutton (On Facebook) has the E series and a trim of the AC bracket and it will clear.

If you know of an E or A series that has the front dress complete let me know, doesn’t need the EFI with it.

Go to the pacemaker website. I found them today.

The motor can remain stock as it’s only a cruiser, will run a C4 and retain the stock LSD diff.
Will run Holley EFI.
PACEMAKER now make specific headers to suit GT40p heads into a X series.

I’ve decided that I’m going to look for either an E series or AU series 5.0, as long as the front dress is complete with the AC, Alt and PS so that I can put it in my XF.

What did you do with that factory roller 351w a while back?

I’ll send a photo of mine showing the basic set up.

i watched a video the other day where a company in america makes a balancer for neutral,28 or 50oz ,3 in 1 balancer, you just keep adding bobweights to it as supplied, might try and find it.
This suits 50oz and suits 3 and 4 bolt pulleys.

Thom is bang on with the pulley spacings, I have a V belt set up that I haven’t used as crank, water pump and Alt did not line up, so cheated and used a gilmour style. You could muck around with spacers but I couldn’t be bothered, once set up and running true the gilmour is good, I’ve never had an issue and mine gets some big revs.
No PS for mine mate.

Mine is all old set up, I can use the old brackets as I only have the water pump and alternator to run. I have a generic Windsor alt bracket.

Is the XF power steering lines long enough?
I’d like an AU 5.0 in my XF Ghia as it would be a nice cruiser, but can’t really bring myself to take the original xflow out.

Like $400 odd, I like the black ones myself.

Blue looks good mate.
Just need these to top it off;
