    WINDSOR SMALLBLOCK TALK

The E303 which 220@50 and .498 lift is a great mild cam, has a chop to it and performs ok. Be ok with factory springs and rockers. You can get this grind from most cam manufacturers. You will have to run a steel dizzy gear with aftermarket roller cams. Just depends what you want to do with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The factory cam is fairly small, good opportunity to throw in a lumper bump stick. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you intend to run power steer and AC, I’d keep the front serpentine belt set up on it and use all the AU accessories. I’d go for the Air Gap manifold too and slap a 600 on it. I’ve got a 650 dp on mine and it rips. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Compare that to a 1970 302 Windsor rod and piston. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The E303 has a very nice choppy idle, very popular in the US, .498 lift and 220 degrees@.50 Yeah the factory springs aren’t much chop, but you would be fine running the E303, might get some valve float around 6k rpm. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can buy various timing covers to suit, depends on the application and whether you want to run a mechanical fuel pump. I have one which can take a crank angle sensor, mechanical fuel pump and standard rotation water pump. The outlet for the water pump is on the passenger side. What is this going into? The EB is V belt from memory. The gt40p heads could flow 200cfm from factory, best factory ford Windsor iron head produced. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah if you do a cam you really need to watch PTV clearance, anything over about .520 lift is getting into dangerous territory. However I know someone with .544 with no issues in a roller 302w with stock P heads and pistons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you go for a standard style pulley set up, you will have to consider the water pump as the efi motors run opposite rotation. What accessories will you run? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You can get a standard style 50oz balancer easy for them. Sounds like you are doing what I did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The P on gt40p heads stands for plug angle, I originally had gt40p heads on my AU spec 5.0 in my XD, dummy fitted hurricane 4-1 headers and with 90 degree (from memory) spark plug boots it all cleared. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Temperature

If your radiator is clean and not blocked then I wouldn’t spend more money on another radiator until I’d finished investigating the bypass and thermostat. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
