as for stroke to bore ratio it is the equivalent to giving a standard 250(3.91") a 3.70" bore (0.020" over bore) being 3.74"(0.060" overbore) and 3.95" stroke (0.040" offset grind)=260ci, to gain maybe 8hp and 12ft/lb at a lager expense, so It won't really help it rev harder as he says it will and money could be better spent else where on the engine. like a roller cam/better conrods/extractors/exhaust/or more headwork and if the crank may need to be replaced if it needs to be reground later on, because you'll have a hard time to find a 0.050"/0.060" undersize con rod bearing. so you'll be back at square one with a standard crank that needs to be offset ground $$$. and a block to replace or re sleeve it's once worn.

Yeah twin systems with tail pipes, heres some pics of a couple of XE ESP's done by Best mufflers http://www.bestmufflers.com/bshop/Custom_Exhaust_Systems/Ford_XE_ESP_Twin_System.htm http://www.bestmufflers.com/Information/Custom%20Systems/custom_exhaust_system_ford_xe_esp2.htm Twin 2.5" with Hooker aerochambers (nice deep note) and 2.5" twin tail pipes should be alright.

trev just saying, a 302c makes the 20hp less than a 351c and a 200 xflow makes 20hp less than a 250 xflow. I'm sure that has nothing to do with the stroke. and 3.25 to 4.11 diff gears is more a fact of total of the gear multiplication since a C10 is 1st 2.46:1 2nd 1.46:1 3rd 1:1 so total final gearing 3.25:1 diff 1st 5.71 2nd 4.71 3rd 3.25 4.11:1 diff 1st 6.57 2nd 5.57 3rd 4.11

How to check if steering column has collapsed?
FORD_MAN replied to Mr Polson's topic in Interior and Car Audio
Na its the same part, in the event of a major collision the inner shaft will push up in side the outer, Ford doesn't spend extra money on having an adjustment for either manual or P/S and a safety funcition when the one will do both. -

the steering shaft just moves inwards/outward in side it's self, its a 2 peice shaft with a inner shaft and outer shaft. eg manual steering column into P/S car just bolt to steering box and pull toward you till lines up with studs and bolt up. -
I'd go extractors, 100CPI cat, 2.5" exhaust with a aerochamber muffler, maybe a hot dog near the extractor flange if you don't want it to be as loud.

I'd say no way near that hose power its cam is 268adv, 218@0.050", 494" lift, I'd say 280-290hp My 302 Clevo has a 280adv, 214@0.050", 510" lift, and would be lucky for 320hp once I get the hi rise manifold on. which I might stick on an engine dyno while I'm on holidays.

It's great, It's done me very well I brought it may 07 clicked over 96,000km coming home from Cohuna Ford, Now has 289,100km. Got a new clutch at 150,000km, reco P/S pump at 160,800, reco alternator at 220,000, other than that just service Items, & I have never had to call RACV for it once. I just wish it was optioned with an LSD as single spinner is not much fun. Tows good, I have towed 15 cars inculding a XE Ute from Hay and a EL XR6 From Holbrook and 2 14x6 cage trailers

I wonder what lift the au springs are good for.
-
probably a stupid question. Do you know if you can fit E-series rockers to AU rocker shafts? just something I have been thinking about, just got a crow stage 3 cam for my AU and wouldn't mind having 530/500 lift rather then 476/450.

A ute should be easier tho isn't the rear window on a ute nearly flat
