Pull once for Parker's, pull again for headlights.
Rotate for rheostat and rotate around until it clicks for interior light.

Unsure about the size or draw?
-
Anybody know what size the glovebox light globe is?
-
If I could like more than once I would.
Throw some on ebay, you should sell a few easily.

Try not to bend them either as you pull them off. Easier said than done though. Lifting them from underneath or on top to start with rather than from one end helps.
Lay them flat on a flat surface for storage, preferably not stacked. Helps them not to bend.
If they train themselves into a bent or kinked shape they won't stick well.
Can lay them flat in the sun to soften and straighten before fitting. Helps a lot, even try a heat gun.

S5 is in the back corner from memory, it has an adjusting screw on it for line pressure, torx head.
-
I've never put one back and never had a problem.
Go hit up the self serve wreckers, might get lucky with an xg or xh one being soft enough to remove without damage.

Holy shit there's a comprehensive list. Thanks for the effort Dave.
Where do you source parts? I assume being in the industry you have more options than I do.
Edit: are those Inner diameters?

It's time to order some AC parts for my ute. If anyone has some info for me that would help greatly.
What size are the o rings in an XF and how many?
I've found one place listing a receiver drier and TX valve on eBay. What should I be paying for these?
Where can u get compressor oil and how do I know how much to add? Compressor is bone dry I believe, I just chose the nicest sounding one when rotating, from the pile.
I'm planning to fit a new TX valve and receiver drier, new o rings and gas it with hychill. I'll buy a vacuum pump and gauges.

Yeah they aren't real cheap but I've had them in a few Falcons. They work great hot and cold, low dust, no noise.

What car is it?
I've found QFM HPX pads to be awesome, combined with slotted rotors. Did that on an AU1 and it made a huge difference. Big car with small brakes though.
-
Pretty sure it's just late XF utes after the EA release. Called GLS instead of S Pack.

I've just always used RDA as they are cheap on eBay. Never had a problem and have bearing cups already fitted. Usually fit slotted ones but the ute is light and has no power so I didn't bother.
hendrixhc reacted to this -
Just standard RDA.

Turns out the seals had a flat rubber lip that fits over the outside of the hub. Just knocked them on with the dead blow, done perfectly. Don't look anything like the e series ones I've done in the past.
-
Well the two hammer trick worked, after a few good knocks I belted it out from underneath. Thanks
Now what do I use to knock the hub seals into the new discs? I can't remember how I used to do it, been many years and even then I think I used to damage the rubber a bit fitting them.
Valvebouncer reacted to this -
I'll try again today, thanks for the all the tips.
-
Torch may be the go, I'll try two hammers and or a dolly today. Need to grab that door handle off you anyway.
bear351c reacted to this -
Yeah I checked the nut was off like 5 times haha. Fucking thing. I don't have heat, I'll try more belting tommorow.
I even put another bar over the fork handle and stood on it. Still didn't move!
-
What type of ball joint seperators are you using on your X Series?
I've always used a fork type and it worked perfectly until today. I can't get the upper joint out of the upright.
Is it worth trying the claw type with the threaded bolt? This one is bloody stuck.
It's already had a good belting which hasn't helped.
-
You can fit the grub screw type to the same base I read somewhere the other day.
My BA one was rattling until I got the shits and pushed kt hard against the window. Must have done something as it doesn't rattle now.

Summit racing or Jegs?

You may well be right with the EST wiring, havent looked for a few months. I've been doing panel and paint but now he weather is too cool.
Going to see if I can source XE or XF looms.
deankxf reacted to this -
Yeah headlight relays, carb wiring and EST dizzy wiring. Although now I'm thinking I should have just changed the lot to XD/XE and used an old dizzy.

Anybody used this combination?
I've just fitted this today and the passenger side cable is too short to reach.
Would like to know if anybody has done it before I have another look.
