Haha cool! Very creative. Congratulations to you both.

Whats this like? Would combine it with a 2mm nozzle they have for Acrylic. I was thinking it should work well with my baby compressor. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.com.au/viewitem?itemId=171039939636

I'm pretty keen to get an aftermarket wheel into the XG. Mines a floor shift, 94 model. I googled and found a whole bunch of threads from different forums where everybody has had a shit time getting any boss kit to fit properly. SAAS make a specific XG one but apparently even that doesn't fit right. Some foul the indicator stalk and some don't go on far enough. What I'm asking is has anybody found one to fit correctly, if so which one!? I'm sick of the boat wheel. Its not like its a rare car, somebody surely has figured it out.

My 350 is missing the fuel inlet fitting too. Who knows what size it is?
-
Thats true. I have a bolt in hump if anybody needs one. My ute was already converted when I got it. It still has the old column however. I'll change it when I come across one.
-
Heres a simple one, can the linkage and shifter be removed from a column shift column and a standard trim fitted? Or does the column need to be swapped?
-
Thats cool. They are torquey, makes sense. Will go forever too.
-
Lower diff gears will definitely help. 2.77 is way too high to take advantage of the T5. I think you will see a big improvement there.

Yeah I sell sets of four for $60, and sets of the door lock/latch mechanisms for $60. I hate greedy people, they always sell easy at that price. All I have are a spare set of each for my EF. The door mechs are easy too, XG-XH are identical to EA-EL. They are everywhere.
-
I sell them for $60 a set normally, some wankers want heaps more obviously. If I had a pair they would be yours for postage but I don't unfortunately. Check out ebay. You should be able to unplug them for now and just open it manually.
-
Yeah, they are a common problem. They get weak and if one is sticking or much slower than the other it will keep triggering the other one as they are always in a different spot. I've sold millions of them! They will interchange all the way from EA-EL.
-
Its one of the lock actuators. They have E Series ones. Usually you unplug them one at a time. The dodgy one will trigger the rest.

Sweet thanks, appreciate it.

Yeah, I just always have it cranked. Thanks for the advice. One last thing, I have a reg fitted with the glass water trap. Is that sufficient for painting or should I be using another type as well?
-
I'm more concerned about air consumption with the hlvp. Or will I still be able to do a panel without stopping? 40L compressor, 180 litres a minute. As long as I can paint a bonnet without stopping I'll be happy.

Zl heater box working XE dash? (Air con switch/Vac lines)
SLO247 replied to mcfly94's topic in Interior and Car Audio
Argh fuck. How bad? Maybe I can use a section of the XE firewall. -
Thats what I'm doing, not interested in a suction type. I mean it has a steel paint pot on it. Whatever you want to call it.

Can the XE box be fitted to the XF? Or does it foul the firewall? If I'm going to do this I just want it all to fit up and plug in like factory. -
1.8 will cover primer, filler and colour/clear? Is a 1.4 ok? Theres a low pressure medium volume one for $99 on the SCA site. Looks ok to me, has a steel pot..... Would an LVLP one be ok? There are some on ebay. Thanks for the advice.

Clevo mate, reccomend me a gun. Non HLVP, gravity, around $1-150, for a small compressor. I'll only be using Acrylic, just straight white panel by panel on my ute for practice before I do my Fairlane. Compressor is only 6-7cfm. I don't need the gun to last forever I just want it to work well.

Non return valve? The one that goes into the booster.

Zl heater box working XE dash? (Air con switch/Vac lines)
SLO247 replied to mcfly94's topic in Interior and Car Audio
Thats news to me, I converted one to the Ghia dash with the original heater box and it worked fine. Everything including the vac lines looked identical. I reckon the XE heater box would be the easiest way. Thats what I'd do. Good luck anyway. -

I'll say it again too, ZL heater box is identical to XF one, just the Ghia Lane and LTD have an elec servo instead of manual one for the vent rod. Make sure you aren't getting confused by that if you can't find ZL diagrams. XF is all the same. -

Just put an XE heater box in? Have you looked at the wiring and vacuum diagrams in the factory manuals for XE and F? They are pretty extensive.
