HEY PEEPS IVE GOT A 1970 XW FALCON 500 SEDAN WITH THE PAINT CODE F117 BRAMBLES RED ON THE ID PLATE AND WAS JUST WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS OR HAS HEARD OF BRAMBLES RED PAINT IN A NORMAL FALCON AS IVE ONLY SEEN THIS PAINT IN THE GT MODELS. THANKS

yeah the high pressure wet blast that takes paint off

most likely the battery is on its way out - check distilled water levels in the battery by screwing battery caps off and topping up with water - check battery with volt meter before and after car started to see if volts drop - check battery terminals aren't cracked or corodid too bad and clean with wire brush if the alternator was stuffed the car would die when the car is running due to it draining the battery power without recharging the battery but if the car doesn't die after its started id say its a battery problem or a short in your wiring slowly draining the car battery when the car is off

hey people, im going to be putting a 393 clevo in my xw its about 500hp at the crank I have a toploader and c4 auto box at home im not sure which way to go as its mainly a cruiser and maybe the odd hill climb any thoughts? pros and cons?

ive still got the c4 auto that's beefed up that came with the 393 atm got the 351 clevo in her with the beefed up c4 as my other c4 auto was slipping bad

ive got a rug-ar1 28 spline wide ratio but can get a 31 spline close ratio for $1500

ive got a pair on my xw the old owner put them on a stock 351 clev with a two barrel carb? It goes ok higher in revs but a pig lower revs

my 351 c4 2.77 diff get around 5km per litre on long trips on highway about 6.5km per litre

swapped a toploader, 9 inch lsd, and some xy buckets I had lying around to a mate I guess it owes me around 4000

im going to sell my 393 complete stroker engine and seeing roughly what they are worth its got a scat crank, srp forged pistons, 2v ported heads, msd ignition, 750 holley, castle extractors, 120 amp alternator done about 12000km there is none to compare to on gumtree, here or ebay in price

I have a 6cyl borg warner in my 351 xw with a c4 auto they are fine if its a 302 auto you will never kill the diff in it

yeah ive heard of code y117 and f117 brambles red yeah so better get the right colour for mine mines been painted monza red track red or candy apple red couldn't tell you but id like to paint it the original colour, it has the brambles red still in the boot and next to the red on it now the brambles red is a lot more orange even the phase 4 gtho was painted brambles red so was it fords racing colour at one stage?
