XD 6cyl has a resistor wire to the coil. Fuck that off and run a new wire.

Lot of piss-arsing around if it ends up being the gilmer pulley. Why not just mark it and then turn it 180 to see if it's out in the same place. Are you sure there isn't a bit of shit stuck behind it? Not saying it isn't the balancer but it's normally the outer that shifts. The bore would have to be absolutely flogged for the centre to be out of wack, but then the original crank pulley would have been all over the place too.

Whats wobbly? The Gilmer drive pulley or the balancer outer?

The XF booster will bolt straight in but the XD/XE master won't bolt on without reworking the shit out of the mounting holes. So you have some options. XF booster with reworked XD master. XF booster with XF master and XF brake lines. XF booster with XF master and re-worked brake lines. Small XD booster with no other mods. I can understand why you want to use an XF booster because they are just so clean and simple looking compared to the XD/XE booster, and It's why I used one on my XdEE when I did the 4.0 conversion 8 years ago, but unless you are prepared for all the extra pissin' around, forget it. -

You should try and get a hold of Ash from the old days. I'm sure he'd have plenty of pics of your car inside and out, from the very first xfalc cruises and the Williamstown photo shoot.

Crossy pushrods are their inbuilt mechanical rev-limiter. Been peaking it? Dropping revs fast will also kill them, like selecting first instead third at 100 k's

They fit but they won't take any weight.

In what? XF Ghia has it in the radiator tank below the cap. Anything OHC has it in the header tank. I reckon it should go off at about half that.

'95 xg xr. Coolant light comes on after 10 seconds. Tried unplugging the sender, tried everything bar removing the globe. Any suggesticles.

All good fuckers. Dodgy new sender, so it's got a working used one back in it.

XG mate. The sender is in the plastic tank. No earth, it's a 2 wire sender.

If there was a short it would stay on all the time. It comes on after about 10 seconds after start up. I can drive the car and switch the ignition off and turn back on so the engine keeps running and it will re-set and come back on 5 to 10 seconds later. It's got me fucked.
