Stuff at clark rubber is prolly the same as what rares had or has anyway. Door rubbers on ebay, i bought some from a seller and the quater window seals, surley you will get on evil bay to? Replace the whole door rubber, no need for glueing.

Didn't some late 80's Nissan skyline's leave the factory with these rims? I remember years ago some local douche bag had these on his car, he thought he was the "be all and end all" kinda guy, (infact he was a complete tool)

Must have been some pot hole to explode the airbags? What else did he damage? I picture a nice XR8 Falcon in pretty good condition with exploded airbags and the insurance company going "thats life pal" But then again, this is his or her life they are playing with and in the event of a "head on" do you really want to risk a second hand airbag not going off? Would they put bald tyres on the car in the event they were free? Can a steering wheel from say BF/FG fit the EL and the insurance company tick it off? The insurance co. is just covering they're arse from being sued by not allowing a second hand airbag. Still shitty tho.

Mine in the shed, still has the cable ties around it and sits just behind the unit. I was thinking when i got mine "how is this gonna work?" But it does, i just plugged it in and presto. Ill do the same in PG when its time.

Yep, wat he ^^^^ said. Must be half dozen long bolts with nuts sticking through the fire wall into the engine bay. Undo them nuts and presto. You will have to disconect the heater hose's from the core/firewall to. Your almost there. Let us no how you go.

Yep, its attatched to the fire wall in the bay, undo the 2 nuts in there aswell.

Was it just 1 drop? If so i wouldn't loose sleep. Could have been condensation build up from inside the car and there is nothing wrong with your window seal at all? Could be something more sinister and have rust under the seal and the H2o is getting in? Get a mate to jump in the back seat and you stick the water hose in that area and see if you can see whats going on.

Awsome n00bs. I know when fitting the EF/EL hand brake lever you can use the existing handbrake stuff on the diff but with the XF handbrake lever under the dash and running 2 cables how do the guys go about getting around that? was my concern.

How does the XF Hand brake cable mount up on the XR6 Diff?

Id say "buy it". Price is good with delivery. Kinchrome has a similar looking jack and in the shops retail between $350-$400. What did your blue point cost ants, $600?

That looks pretty darn good eh. I would imagine it collecting alot of dust and what not with the perspex cluster face being exposed like that now. Would be hard to keep clean?

Ok, found the info. I really relied alot on this way back then and as i did mine i found some probs listed i just never come across only because i used the EF engine. The XG had a diffrent front rail, from XD/XE/XF hence your alternator sitting on it. Nope, they not. Years ago before i started doing the 4 litre swap into my XD i was on another forum and the people there posted some info about this prob. I been wondering "would this glitch surface actually" and the only solution was to cut a recess in the front support panel. Now ill go look for that info and ill come back here.

I can see the problem with that last pic. Its a REPCO shock. Its leaking! The spring would be ok, i wouldn't worry bout it. The stabilizer bar linkage is worn out, Just grab some new ones from Nolathane to replace them. And grab a ball joint whilst your there. Give all the stuff to a decent mechanic and let him fix it. And replace those shocks with some KYB's or Monroe's etc.

Yeah i compared my XG stuff to an XF I had pulled apart years ago when i was doing the dash in goldie and i thought they were identicle. Just didn't want to say it in that post incase i was wrong and i lead you down the garden path.

Id say they are the same shape but because the XG was designed with the 4 litre and the XF wasn't they are going to be different. Plugs, ecu, all the wiring etc. Id swap the lot over. Put the XG heater box in there. just a few size 10 nuts on the fire wall and the XF heater box is ready to remove. Put the XG one back in, then the rest of the XG dash, wiring harness and you should be on the home straight. Really lookin forward to you "turning key" on this one. Oh, and do what slo247 suggests, remove the heater core and check it for rust. Its only a few more screws, some sticky glue between the lid and the body and its out. Flush some water through it with the garden hose and check for leaks. Its a good chance to remove all the leaves and bird nests from inside it to. You dont want it catching fire once its back in the car.

Here you go. These are 2 pics of mine. (i looked for the wheel this morning) I had to file down the front of the factory blinker cancel mechanism so it would sit flush on the boss kit then attached it with some gaffa tape and presto it worked. Sat in the factory plastic column surounds and canceled the blinker per normal.

XF 747 (george) runs a xflo in his boosted falcon. Good to see you doing research ltdute before you chop into your machine.
