Was just playing with stereo getting sub set up......usual story....might need two... Lol.
The Atoto decks you can buy on eBay from elite electronics. They do heaps of car audio stuff.
It has Bluetooth mate, and sat nav and voice control, front and rear camera hookups , three AV outs....more than I will ever need.
It's a complete in car entertainment system.

I just noticed the Bluetooth icon on your screen, I should’ve looked a little closer before asking.

    Cheers Jack.

    Hey sirk’

was going to be the next step for the red Fairmont ghia ,,,still love that car ,,,

but ended up going into fg’s .

the adding in an extra stereo looks like an afterthought in ba’s ,,,

in the way and awkward spot .

the whole aerpro setup looks ok ,,

bottom slots could be useful as USB ports ..

I want the Kayan unit in my fg 50th tho ,,,,

” birthday soon love ,,,,,,,hint hint “

I don’t think you’d go wrong either way hey, but looking at them side by side I’d say the Kayan is a slightly better looking unit and the screens definitely bigger which is a plus.

Atoto kits come with everything when you buy the deck. Start at $400:for a decent one.

It is made to fit single din or double din hole and screen is adjustable to suit console hole. ( Has filler for extra din hole if needed).

    That's what this is.....

    Hey Jack,

I like that little not normal falcon beast you got there!

Do the Atoto kits have Bluetooth? I’ve never heard of them, but they sound alright from what your saying, I’ll have to do my home work on them.

    Done this one ,,

no help /YouTube’s on the subject

    Park brake on

pull the shifter back to neutral or drive

remove the screw in the front

pull the shift knob up ,,

grab the knob “ no jokes , we are grown ups “

Prize the shift knob With a screwdriver to one side ,, think it’s from the right side ,, outwards ,,

    it”ll pop out ,,

up on the inside of the now vacant hole ,,

    there’s a screw ,,,take it out ,,

top will then pop off .

  5. Well in case anyone was interested, I found out a little info.

According to inter web research the kit was made by USC who went bust many years ago and the moulds may have been purchased by Fibremaster.
See post 22 at the bottom of this page https://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=54208

When you search fibremaster https://www.google.com.au/search?q=fibermaster&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-au&client=safari the web link takes you to SSV website, so I’ve contacted SSV via email today to try my luck 🤞🏻

  6. Hey guys, I’ve purchased one of the eBay chrome inserts for the 4 speed auto shifter knob on my BFmk3 and NFI how to get the old one off???

I can see there is a screw inside underneath holding it in but can’t work out how to get in there.

If anyone has replaced there’s and has some advice for me that would be greatly appreciated.

I posted I Ford forums and got a reply to remove the shifter button, but I’m worried I’m starting to damage the leather trying to leaver out from the top.

    any ideas?

EgoXF hasn't been at alpha for years now.

You'll also find Alpha recently packed up shop and moved to Qld - fairly sure they reopened up there but not 100% sure.

And i haven't really been around for years either, so that makes sense, at least i was on the right track.

Cheers for clearing that up Chris.

    Who's got one??

And do we have pics of this spoiler around the sides??

I been looking at pics and it looks like you can see the original XF front bar

around the edges or sides of the spoiler??

    Hope im wrong.

Also, does it weigh much more than factory Ford front XF Bar?

I dont need extra brackets and what not do i?

Great info there mate, I was worried about 8" on the front in regards to ball joint clearance, although with 17s I think the rim will sit above the ball joint regardless of offset. In any case, do you know the offset on the front? Was that rear offset +6 or -6?

I've just had a look in the build thread gerg and he mention in there that front are 0.

Kris, if your interested there is a powder coater in Blacktown who specialises in wheels. He quoted me $500 to blast and powder coat 4 wire spoked wheels for my mgb. I’ll see if I can find his details

    Edit:

    http://www.advancedpowdercoating.com.au/

I wonder how he'd go with getting the esp gold colour? I've already bought two cans of the gold paint from global trim too.

  11. Got a few questions for those with more experience than I.

What's the best way to go about stripping the snowies, sand blasting, soda blasting, or something else?

Also what primer is best to use on the alloy? I'll pick up some plastic primer for the new caps. What clear coat do people recommend to finish over the gold? And paint first, machine lips second is the way to go yeah?

  12. Bit of thread mining here, but is it correct to say that if i was to paint up a set of ea or xf ghia snowies in esp gold and purchase a set of esp repro caps form ebay that said caps wont sit flush with the wheel face?

I want to make up a set but don't want them to look dodgy...
