The gear reduction starter I got for for my 5.0 Windsor is the same as for a 351c. Not sure if that helps you or not.
-
Yes they are getting very common, but doesn't change that they suit old fords to a tee
-
I just picked up Simmons FR's the new one piece jobs for a smidgen over that with tyres. 20s though. They may do them in other diameters but not sure.
-
For an XW? Whats your budget.
-
Thanks guys. Looking at them stacked in my garage I wasn't sure about the size or colour before I put them on the car, but I'm chuffed real happy with em.

Sneak peak
-
Sorry bout the delay Campo haven't been about for a while. Picked them up from Tyes Galore, Alex is his name was a nice bloke to deal with. If you want his number pm me and I'll pass it on.

2150 with tyres. They're the one piece, not the three piece. Are the others you are referring to, MC racing wheels?
-
Of course, but sometimes it's hard to be sympathetic...
-
Well wont have 200rwkw, maybe a little more than 200 i think but at the fly. So may last a while, will see...
-
That doesn't sound promising, i will be running 275's with a t5 in my xf. Oh well just have to see how we go, might have to start collecting spare t5's
-
I'll be interested to see the responses to this one. To my knowledge, or from what I have been told, they are all the same strength wise, it's just ratios and input shaft lengths that differ?
-
Only had one wagon myself, an EL. No whine or Dif issues with that, had low ks though 130 000 odd.
-
Yeah pretty sure you wouldn't need to engineer the diff, and doubt it would be noticed if it was technically necessary anyway.
-
Oh yeah and I agree with RAWDEAL go for a EB wagon diff. Pretty straight forward fit too.
-
Thanks lads

Will a 4.0 AU Transmission fit into an XG?
SirkWhyXF replied to Snowman's topic in Transmission and Differential
Sorry autos can't help you with, but others will be able to. Manual would be reasonably easy change, guess you would need to change computer too, mine was pretty basic as was carb. -

Hi mate, are you talking auto or manual? I converted my xf from auto to manual with no idea how to do it and I'm pretty clueless, so reckon should be easy enough for you, got a lot of advice for others on here who are far more knowledgable than me. -
Thanks for your comments and votes all. On Thursday arvo this happened

That charade is a machine, i even took the 5L to the machanics in the back of it, along with three big tubs worth parts. Boys at the workshop pissed em selves.
-
As title says does it fit, wanna know the fattest tyre i can get under the lowered but other wise stock, with EL diff, rear end of the XF. Whats the fattest tyre you've had under yours?
-
No pics yet, but i can confirm that a 275 30 r20 fills the rear gaurds of an XF very nicely Oh, and a set of simmons FR-1 20's fit nicely into the back of a 94 charade too
-
You know what mate, i agree with you completely. That's the look ive always been after with this thing, clean and classy. But for some reason i just can't help but want the gold ones, doesn't make any sense to me cause they're so bloody loud and obnoxious, i can't explain why but i just want em. Fuck it, its too late anyway. Ive already got the guy putting tyres on a set of gold ones and im picking em up tomorrow. Yeah i pm'd him on xfalcon a couple of days ago and haven't heard anything back? He's at top class tyres? With the MC racing stuff? Im actually getting these of a guy who i think is just getting em in bulk from tempe and onselling them at a better price.

Rear where 10s yeah
