1. Barra, triple 45mm dcoe Weber's (recarb Qld) order on eBay. Then no EFI.
Can put it on all the Crossy, 4L sohc, Barra.
Trust me....save yourself the EFI nightmare and make the car fun.

2. Do you have the vac lines right way around. One off throttle body goes to air cleaner, one on intake goes to pcv valve on motor.

Just worth a check, and did you torque the manifold up?

Seems to be what happens when the motor is reading super lean on the O2 sensor, so ecu Richens it right up to compensate.

Check all your loom connections too.

3. Have you bought a booster yet?

I'm doing a booster delete on my lil car.

Maybe that sort of Master is like my old one, side and lower outlet for the fronts and one side one for the rears.

That and an adjustable length master cylinder rod kit ($120 Wilwood kit). Should pull up your car easy without all the vac hub bub to fail.

4. Ok, I'm not sure about this one but I'm assuming these were used in XB GT's with rear drums? Or rear discs as well?
I replaced my XB ute drum rear end with a B/W disc brake out of an XC. So will I need this Proportioning Valve or not?
You will need to reduce the flow to the back brakes, as it's set up for drum.
I have an OBP motorsport one here from England.
Yours for $120 Inc postage.
Was £52 plus customs and shipping.

It's a motorsport one, not some el cheapo.
Just put it on the line for the rears and restrict the flow to them.
Done.

5. I just noticed the Bluetooth icon on your screen, I should’ve looked a little closer before asking.

Cheers Jack.
No probs mate. Look around at a few decks out there, but any with cd/DVD are old tech now.
Now it's a complete in car entertainment system the size of a single din cd deck.
Screens get bigger too.

Mate, your probably like me, glasses need to be gotten......lol. I just need them for soldering and stereo wiring....

6. Hey Jack,

I like that little not normal falcon beast you got there!

Do the Atoto kits have Bluetooth? I’ve never heard of them, but they sound alright from what your saying, I’ll have to do my home work on them.

Cheers Mate.

Was just playing with stereo getting sub set up......usual story....might need two... Lol.

The Atoto decks you can buy on eBay from elite electronics. They do heaps of car audio stuff.

It has Bluetooth mate, and sat nav and voice control, front and rear camera hookups , three AV outs....more than I will ever need.

It's a complete in car entertainment system.

I had to modify a lot to get this one in my lil car. Like I said it's more an in dash unit for plastic cars.... I just made it fit. Hendrix had a nice Pioneer deck, that's real nice too.

Think these are more performance decks for newer model cars, I just thought it might look neat

7. Atoto kits come with everything when you buy the deck. Start at $400:for a decent one.

It is made to fit single din or double din hole and screen is adjustable to suit console hole. ( Has filler for extra din hole if needed).

That's what this is.....

4c7c45687d104e20b93e544b9e12b661.jpg

It will wire to EVERYTHING, and the looms are included.

It will do all your car's functions including steering wheel controls etc.

You don't need CD/DVD. Stream music or video from your phone.

Has 2 USB, one for car play etc, one for music input, plus micro USB.

Mic for voice activated functions.

Can even do Park assist.

8. Mate, I would probably do that. Should be able to get an XF loom pretty easy.

Then all you got to fork out for is the msd ,leads and coil. Just rev limit it.

Trust me, it will save you a massive head ache of even getting the E series stuff to work. It was designed for fuel injection so will always be a shite with a carby...and you can get rid of the O2 sensor, put in a wideband O2 sensor and it will help you with your afrs when tuning the carb.

I do it by ear....but I'm Ol Skool.

9. Msd ignition programmable with a timing curve put in. I have done it before for a Crossy, same shite, different shovel.

I did a 600 Holley onashXFute back in the day for him. Wasn't too hard.

That will get it running.

You would of been better off keeping the xf dash

10. Hi all,
recently been in the build of my xf
recently pulled down the engine gave it a freshen up
just basic rebuild, didn’t touch bottom end ect,
crow cam stage 1,lifters,rockers,gaskets,water pump ect ect
putting the motor back in only driven it about 50-100km I have noticed when car is on for about 15 -20 minutes oil pressure on dash flashes and when reves up goes up. Ect, when cold oil pressure is above half, I’ve tried different oils, moto craft filter ect, anyone have any insights, no knocking ect cheers
How low is your idle? Try around 800-850. Might just not be spinning up enough, or air trapped.
Did you prime the pump up before start up?
That's where I would start, you got pressure it's just wandering

11. Gerg is right, Vizard is a head working legend.
When you get right into his head work you realize HOW smart he is.
He was into 2L pinto motors in the 70's.

It's not all about just grinding stuff out, any dill with a die grinder can go that... And muff it up.

It's about the approach angle of air and velocity at the back of the valve.
Sometimes metal or resin is added to the port to change the approach angle of the air.
Then you want to go further its valve relocation. That's how it's done properly.

12. I mean nearly double HP of the 1300

The 1300 would have been sitting around 40-45kw. On paper with the engine specs of my 1600 (1660 actual capacity) it should be producing between 70 and 80kw at the crank.

Yeah I will not lie, everyone ive spoken to in the club said I have over braked the car for street use, but it will be nice for the odd track day, or hillclimb event that the car club runs every year, which ive never run in because too scared, to know that i have ample brakes.
Ok cool, so about 110hp, same as a stock Pinto.
I had a MK1 with stock brakes and 200hp pinto. The stock brakes with better pads are more than up to the job.
Compression braking with the motor into corners will help with saving the brakes.

Wanna race after were done???? Hehehe
