    Hitting bump stops!

There's ya problem right there. Lol. Still be careful with the springs, the shocks may be bottoming out but those shocks are too low. Best of luck. Jack.

    door mechanisms

They have em on xg utes mate. Its a washer that locks onto the rod with teeth on the inner. Don't have a pic of one, and not sure on their proper name. I know once they are on you literally have to break them off. After its light I'll see if I can dig one up. Jack.

    Hitting bump stops!

Had a look at those pics, got to agree with the guys, you got no room for suspension to work properly. Accident waiting to happen. Springs are waay too short. Cutting bump stops is fooling yaself that ya fixed it. No compromise for correct shocks and spring rates. Jack.
  4. What is it about the rear end you dont like mate? 3.45 lsd with solid axles and leafs will make a huge difference, no need to go watts. Only thing I would change on mine is good set of tramp rods. 5-6 leaf rear, good shocks, brace the shock mounting points and maybe a decent center later. I know what ya trying to achieve but think ya might be happy with a well sorted solid. Jack.

    door mechanisms

Its not the pivots, on the bars there is supposed to be a round metal retaining clip near the swivel than holds the bar more firmly in position. They look like a washer with lil tabs on the inner. Sometimes they fall off or break. Put one on each rod at the pivot and all those lil bits of slop will disappear. Jack.

Help needed. BA rough idle issue.

Throttle goose not performed will come up as a code if it's that. Make sure the scanner is OBD2 , OBD is for pre AU cars. Probably know that, but worth a mention. Yeah that's strange mate. Go to a wreckers, get another ECU for same motor and gearbox combo (the ECU numbers are on side of module) and just swap em over and see. I had a problem similar on my XG which was an aircon fault that took out the Low/High idle speed section of the ECU. For $100, that's probably ya best bet. Mine would stall and idle shit and carry on like a pig. Changed ECU..... never had a problem since. Jack.

Help needed. BA rough idle issue.

If you had the battery out or disconnected, it may be the same as my XG and need you to Goose the throttle to set up the Throttle Position Sensor. I HIGHLY recommend buying an OBD2 code reader, will save you a lot of grief and chasing ya tail. If there is a fault it will show it. I'm leaning towards MAF sensor or TPS. Jack.

XH V8 wont run on petrol

Maybe the fuel pump has shat itself, you could have fuel at rail, but no pressure, injectors will pulse, but no pressure to push fuel out of em. Have a listen for the fuel pump priming when you turn on ignition before you start it. Also check ya fuel pump relay and that relay they chucked in at the drivers footwell. Interesting there is no petrol wire on that gizmo, look around for one thats come off or check if the screw to tighten wire is all the way in, if it is not a wire may of come out. Jack.

    Crossflow ignition systems

Just grab an MSD Rob, If it's in a boat, they have one for marine applications (we used a standard MSD, just make sure it's outta waters way) and grab yaself a coil to suit. Your 4.1 will take an EST dizzy which are easy to find, use that and wire up a basic MSD........done. Jack.

    Wagon Exhaust

That's the muffler I run on my ute wagon, redback are OK, I run the muffler section and pipe, and have a free flow cat before that. Sounds pretty good, better than a stock system. Mine is 2 1/2". That price is a bit shit though, sure I have seen that set for around 180, change ya listings on ebay to lowest price and postage.... may help ya if you haven't done it already. Jack.

    Crossflow Build Advice

Heya Danger Mouse, Wagoon and Ando are dead on the money. An old saying is " Horsepower is only Limited by how much folding stuff your willing to spend, big horsepower never comes cheap." It's my opinion you can make good reliable horsepower for a daily driver without breaking the bank or having shit hanging off it everywhere. Naturally aspirated engines power comes from knowing how to make the engine work properly and flow. Any twit can whack a snail or a blower on a mediocre engine and claim big horseys..... I can force feed a baby till it's fat too, it's the same thing. Not saying some of those motors aren't built well................. it's the easy way out. Jack.

    XG fuel tank into XFute

Are you trying to put the Auxiliary tank out of an Outback ute into an XF? (The one in an XG-XH that sits behind the driver) , if so, there is a whole complete fuel pump relay set up and valve required the change between the two. If you are changing dashes to XG, you may as well see if you can get the XG main tank with senders and all the wiring and change over valve. The XG's are fuel injected, so the in tank fuel pump has too much pressure for your carby, will blow past the needle and seat. The XF (carby) , single tank and the XG Outback (Injected) , dual tank fuel systems are not interchangable without modding pumps and having a tank selector solenoid. I have all the wiring diaghrams for the XG Outback but it won't match up to the XF's wiring, even the fuel guages and senders are different. Jack.

    Suspension Issues

Just the price ya pay for lowering shit as NZXD said. I have had some lowered cars but all have had standard tyre sidewall height , low profile tyres make it even worse. Hope ya can fix it. Jack.
