yeah mate just got to re drill the two bolt holes that hold it on, its what I have on mine. the xf's is a throttle position "switch" not a sensor which is why it wont be working with your MS

sounds dodgy but can i file away some of the body of the injector so that it fits in further?? the factory injector pushes right into where it goes wider but the xr6 injector will only push in about 5-10mm
-
factory injector next to the xr6 injector

hey guys as the title says......anyone actually done it? I am attempting it at the moment after being told they are all universal fit but they don't appear to fit well. eg. only just sit into the manifold on the engine side. they are the same length from rubber seal to rubber seal as the factory injectors so they do fit in and bolt up etc. but they are really only just sitting in there on the engine side which gives me the shits if its not sealed properly. any ideas?? failing that any ideas on some injectors that will fit?? and where to purchase them from bearing in mind its for a turbo xflow so I was wanting around 36lb to 44lb

cheers guys. I was hoping someone had some bright idea on removing that plastic ring.......
-
cheers guys. so would I be correct in saying I can unplug it and remove it all? I don't have the EGR hooked up
-
My guess is its something to do with the cruise control? as theres a heap of vacuum lines running out from under.
So next question is if I do away with the cruise control can I just remove the plug from here and get rid of all that ugly sheeit?

I have a walbro to put in as replacement

Anybody still running aircon with their turbo xflows? In the process of fitting everything up now and the aircon unit and all its pipes look as if they are going to be in the way. If possible I would like to keep the aircon. Its an 87 xf ghia. also would the heat affect the aircon pipes? they are already factory heat wrapped

hey nzxd can I have the nz supplier too please?
-
good point xfghia747 cheers for your help

reason i want to front face it is I have stuck my wastegate right in the way.......... so figure its a good excuse to shorten the intercooler piping
sorry for the blurry photo pretty crap lighting in my shed

I do realise that its not an ideal inlet manifold but I can make this for nothing and it should run while I sort out a custom plenum, so long as number 6 cylinder doesnt run too lean
-
so this is the sort of thing i am trying to achieve sorry Ive ripped someone elses photo hope i dont offend
-
that's it cheers matt

Im trying crazy honest . have opened a photobucket acc. but still doesn't seam to work? From more research....(had a mate come and look today) Adrianphu123 seems to be right and its an egr valve so I will continue with cutting it off and see how I go
-
how do the guys with custom plenums get around it? looking at pictures of cars like xf-747 he appears to have blanked it off??
-
Sorry if this is a stupid question but can anyone tell me what the funny lookin doodah next to the throttle body is? am looking at cutting up and modifying my inlet manifold to a front facing one and want to know if I can just chop it off?
I would upload a picture for reference but I am computer illiterate haha
Also the gadget at the back of the rocker cover (firewall end) is that the pcv valve? and do I still need that? bear in mind it is in the process of being boosted.
Apologies if I sound stupid but im pretty new to all this efi stuff always had carby v8s so im working it out as I go

seems a long way to run the hose round to the other side of the block?
-
is the mechanical fuel pump on the same side of the motor as the exhaust manifold?
-
wouldn't the ba offset hit the shock tho?
-
