Question about exhaust manifold temps

Recommended Posts

Hi all, quick question about exhaust manifold temps, sorry if it's obvious.

So I think everything is fine.
1978 XC 250 crossflow.

Today I was just idling the car in 5 minute intervals and doing coolant flushing. Car's working as expected. I've chased down as many intake vacuum leaks as possible.

My question is, is it ok if the rear of the manifold is 250 - 350C and the front of the exhaust manifold is 90 - 110C? I'm guessing that what I'm seeing is the effect of the fan blowing on the front.

Other temps seemed ok, after 5 or so minutes the block was about 50 - 70C and the coolant was 45 - 65C.

Thanks!13a651aa4299ce2223926134d0a73df3.jpg
