Could this be related to the trip computer at all? From memory when you brake the stop lamp lights up on the trip computer?
Worth unplugging it to see if it makes any difference?

It would be worthwhile ruling them out for sure.
What about the AFM? Have you got a good spare?

And that made no difference whatsoever?
What about plug leads?

Hey Panko.
Very frustrating by the sounds of it.
Have you tried another known ECU?
Considering that is the brains of the whole system might be worth a shot.

Fc tyres are normal.
Fd are the metric ones.
They are still made, last quote i got was $2100 delivered.
Mine have got great tread but cracks in sidewalls unfortunately.

I reckon i'll leave the slots as they are. Depends on how much damage the paint stripper does i suppose.
Should end up like this:

The key is to get them secured so they dont move around and rub the seats. A good quality set should do the job.
The set i have in the Territory have multiple straps to secure them and never move. I also take them off fairly regularly to wash them and no wear.

I got some armoral leather wipes to do the territories leather trims. It works pretty well at cleaning it. Just need tot train the ball and chain how to use them now.Ive also used these in the past and they work well.

Chris, have you considered seat covers at all? Something that suits the luxury feel obviously like lambswool in the same colour?
Not to everyones taste mind you.
If not apart from what you are doing i think it is quite difficult to keep cashmere clean.
A weekly quick clean of them might have to go onto the regular cleaning schedule.
Would a wipe over with a damp microfibre cloth weekly and the leather care monthly or so work?

I did the exact same thing. Straight swap. Didnt notice any power increases or anything but seemed to be smoother. Probably just the refurbished injectors.

Hey Alec,
I thought bluetooth was standard on all FG's?
Unless it was part of the tech pack which wasnt made standard until mid 2010.
If you want to have a look at mine feel free.

If you decide to pull the motors of the mechs to clean them up, lube or overhaul watch out for that fucking spring. It doesnt look that powerful but the bastard will spin the sector gear round quick smart and take your bloody finger off.
OH MY GOD YEAH!
Ask me how I know.
I was lucky it didn't cut my fingers off, but did take some bark off and bleed, I thought I was gonna die!
James is on the money here to anybody doing this, please be bloody careful.
Sounds nasty!
I drill a hole through both parts of the regulator and stick a bolt through them before taking the motor off. Stops the spring from moving then.
Manual says to do it this way as well.

Filler cap is tight and dipstick is pushed all the way in. Checked them along with the vac lines. Will check the dizzy tomorrow just in case.
Don't have a spare airflow meter. Can you use the black lid ones or only the blue lid ones?
You know where theres a spare!
Black lid is for Bosch XE system. Wont work properly on XF.

Mines doing the same so interested to see how you go. I changed the stat because it was reading too cold, which made it worse. It has improved with a few runs but still moves about a little. Ive narrowed it down to some sort of electrical issue as in unstable voltage. Havent done anything further with it now ive ruled out a mechanical issue.

Okay, figure this out.Cable tied the tap so the valve is down (closed??).
Go for a drive, heater works. By logic, having the valve/tap tied I should only get hot or cold air. Change temp with the heater control pod, cold air. Change back to hot. Hot air. Go figure.
Weird. Just like the windows. Sounds like youve kind of fixed it for the minute anyway?

Ring 13FORD and quote the VIN. That should tell you everything you need to know including selling dealer.

Been a while since I've had one of these but on the ZL I had im sure there was boot, fuel, fog lights and a trailer indicator light that would operate with a trailer connected up. Could that be the unidentified one?
I don't think cruise control is down there.
