  1. Sounds like a problem under load..  Did you change out the fuel filter ? Or as MNTL.XD said..trans fluid level OK? Sounds like its going into limp mode.

Is the NF really hot under the bonnet, maybe your gauge is out of whack, and she's overheating. Try changing the 'stat for a cooler one, or grab a second hand radiator, maybe? Is the timing correct.?

Radiator 8 months old .once you climb the hill all good again  I will do the Themostat and temp sender unit see what Happens Thanks lads

  2. So it's only when going uphill?

Will it do it on level ground if you floor it enough for it to drop back to 2nd?

Maybe it could be a gearbox (fluid) problem?

LEVEL GROUND It seems to be fine .Thinking Thermostat maybe  Up hill on a long pull when it dose it

  3. Fuel pump shagged, coil pack shagged, blocked fuel filter or air filter, plugs knackered, leads stuffed, cracked distributor cap, hand brake on........

It starts and runs fine All the above done . temp in middle of Gauge when I have trouble ..May be Thermostat  ??? .. Its had the head and rad done 1 year ago

  4. OK, after reading that a few times,

You would like to know the inside diameter so you can find some heavy springs to fit?

Have you been to your local Repco/Sprint/Autobarn? They would be able to tell the number straight up, and if you find a half decent (rare these days) attendant, they might actually be able to point you in the right direction.

What do you need hardier set for? Have you thought about Air Shocks?

It rides to soft . And i do tow some trailers time to time . Thanks for your reply .Ebay has a set of rear coils $175.oo not to bad
