1. I habe everything to run 350 ATM n the brother is a first year apprentice do can't justify the expense unless we find a cheap second hand one. I agree 100% to what I guys are saying though.

  2. Just saw the Aussie speed exchange dizzy a are cheaper than I remember. Might just buy one of those. We have everything to build it at home. Low km au shirt motor. Massively ported tickford head. Ea manifold modified for a 350. Extractors so might just chuck it together n hope for the best.

Just gotta sort out a auto

  3. Hey guys putting a barra into my Xf. Going to run a ba steering wheel so I think I'll try a ba steering column. I'll run the ba stalks n key barrel. Wondering if I can run the lock and unlock buttons on the key. Any ideas on how I could do this? Would I be able to use a aftermarket centre locking kit n program the factory fob? Or could I use the ba bcm n run the power windows also from it.
Cheers for the help. New to electrics n jumping in the deep end with this build
Ben

  4. Hi guys playing with my lil brothers van (xg with el motor and t5). Ran I'm Moora with the xh ecu fine brought it to Perth on car trailer. Didn't run it here.
Fitted xh xr6 manual computer in it. Wired up the elec fans with a el wiring harness to pin 33 and 53. Ran the wiring for the bbm but haven't hooked it up yet.
Tried to start but have no fuel pump.
Put xg computer back in. Now the pump runs flat out and it still won't start.
anyone had issue like this before?
Cheers Ben

  5. Had the bloke I brought the engine off come round tonight. He has done heaps of these conversions. It's a stripped out harness now marked and ready to go into the ute. Now to try and hide it all. Haha. Thanks anyway. Ill try and do a wiring schematic of what I've got Joe. See how I go for next time

  6. I'll also need a au t5 bell housing as the bottom the the bell housing bolts to sump so e series will fit the top half but have no bolts holding the bottom half. Can't use ba on unless u want to run hydrolic clutch

I've removed all the abs wiring from the mail plug. (Highlighted ones are removed)

This is a pic of the computer/body harness plug. (Highlighted removed)

Now I can't seem to find the wiring diagram for this plug. Joins body and engine harness

Can anybody help me as to if I can remove these or what there for. Cheers.

Will do a full write up on how to make it work once I've made it work. Haha.

  9. Pull the pedal box out. It's not to hard on x series. Drop steering colum. Unbolt. Think its four from cab side and brake booster bolts. And take it to a small welding engineering place. Prob cost a box of piss. Pedal should be fine. Another place to go would be a decent exhaust shop. They always have migs and like cashies. HahA

  10. Sounds like the pin in the side of the pedal box has cracked the pedal box. Very common on x series and e series. Pull pedal box out. Realign pin and weld it back together. Then plate the shot out of the back of it.

  11. Putting a dohc in my xf now. Wiring isn't looking to hard. Will fit under bonnet just need to mod one bonnet brace. 190kw factory. Set of extractors good exhaust and intake. T5 and 3.45 diff. Tune she will fly.
