  1. Bit of a silly question but does it have to be a set off 1 car or could you buy a good pair or even singles then add to them to make a set? Is there a benefit to getting the set off 1 car?

No real difference if bought separately. Different date wheels are machined slightly differently on the rim area.

Early wheels had a square end profile on the spokes, later had a radius.

  2. So many variants I beleive they where cast in both oz and Nz. With some esp wheels the cap sits flush some their is step? The grey csps at the top some had the blue ford symbol in the blue. All grey EA , blue ED.

I think all Snowies were cast in NZ. The cap sits flush on un-machined Snowies but sits proud on machined Snowies.

  3. EA S-Pack were machined but painted silver so appear to be as cast but are just the same as others underneath. I found this out when I paint-stripped my EA S snowies

This makes me think that all snowies are machined but some variants got thick paint so as to give a different look.

Definitely un-machined, I've stripped a few ESP Snowies.

  4. From what I have been told the early esp wheels the spokes were unmachined but the I think xe xf Ghia spokes were machined like in polsons pic.

All XE ESP rims were unmachined, as were ZL Sportsman.

Maybe EA S Pack were unmachined as well, not fully sure on that.

  5. Need to get one of these sockets its to get rounded nuts and lost security nuts off

These are brilliant! I got some off the Wurth rep after I tested his sample one on a high tensile bolt with a rattle gun, just screwed the head off.

  6. im sure ben does but since members have bought this product maybe theyd know price per mtr :D

I bought a full "re-trim", that included new strapping under the seats, new bolster foam where it was needed, full strip and fit of new cloth trim on both front and rear seats and new vinyl trim. I don't know what Ben charges per metre.

  7. They all SUCK..............

I agree, they don't look great. But that's what they came with, so that's what people will want to put back on their resto project.

    Just FK'N get over it!

  8. Its original 302 auto he wants 1200 if its a esp id say cheap providing the condition.

If its a factory 302 it won't be an ESP. XD ESP's only came with the 250 six or 351 V8.

A V8 XD for $1200 is still pretty cheap.

  9. Hey just after a piece of advice.

Just had a new screen put in the XD and the glazier put the trims on, and said the sides needed a strip of foam as there is a 5mm gap.

Has anyone ever replaced the foam or just left the slight gap?

Mine is missing the foam and at certain speeds it flaps and vibrates. Not a problem, just annoying.

  10. Did you have footy cards in the spokes too!!

I always thought that you skidded when you stopped....

hey hey another brother who understand you skid to a STOP!

    BURNOUTS IS WERE ITS AT!

and yes i had cards pegged to the rear frame on my old pushy, lol, and used to skid sideways to a stop.

That's exactly what I meant, SKID to a Stop.

  11. I've been trying to source a standard wheel for my XE Ute. I didn't know it would be such a big task. I thought that a steel wheel for an XD or an XE would be easy to find, not so. It seems that XD and XE were different. Following are some pics.
