try the left hand abs wheel sensor clable i know on the later models it causes that fault but have never came across that on a ef but

Need help on were these two wires go or if they go anywhere both wires look to be red with a green trace The one with the plug i don't think was joined to anything the other wire was in a plug that was with the tacho wire

I'm looking for some placement ideas on the MSD in the engine bay of my xd van, was thinking of putting it under the battery tray but looks like i will need to make up a plate for it. i don't want to put in inside the car. Ur welcome to put some pics up to show

It should be just have to unwrap the harness that's what will take the longest part as its a pain wrapping it up lol

I don't think you would fit my msd behind the kick panel on the XD the 6al is bigger then the 6al2 but if you have done it Broken-wheel all tops to you but I think you need to step back and look at if some one wants to put the msd box under the bottles its up to them it is there car not yours I joined this site to help people get help off people and talk about cars not to be told we are doing things wrong like I have seen in a few of your posts to people sorry said what I wanted now back to cars Jason

They are fully sealed boxes so i don't think a few drops of water will hurt it

This is the wire I was talking about I'm pretty sure it was the one on coil but that was 8 yrs ago I pulled it apart and this is a new harness<br />

Thanks so being I got the msd they are not needed as I thought I had joined up the coil + to the msd it was a yellow wire with a old school push on plug

Oh ok then brother in-law still runs the bosch coil on the racecar with the same msd box i have and never had a drama yet

I've spent some cash but can't say i have paid that much for a coil over $300 i think my wife would kill me

Was just talking to my brother in law bout the msd coils and he was saying the same thing that there shit and he would run a stock one over it

sorry its all mounted now in the bay, but mine is just a 6al msd so it doesn't have all that other stuff to go with it just had to run a few wires and that was it. the van is built as a show car but if i want to drive it i still can, if you check out my thread you will see my interior is very clean and i don't really want to cut it up

Hey jack I ended up putting it behind the shock tower where the charcoal cannister normally goes it's still seen but make it still neat in that spot. I'm thinking of changing the washer bottle and putting the fuel pump and reg beside the washer bottle will put a pic up later

I wanted to go a ice in the first place but the msd came up really cheap $130 round about bran new so that made up my mind

Thanks jack, the engine is in it has all the power steer and that is on for mock up so i could work out the few things like MSD mounting Under stand where you are getting at slydog but dont really want this big red box hanging out the dash as i take it u are talking bout the spot above the glove box for mounting it. What was the reason behide them breaking the MSD in that spot I was thinking the same with it after reading the instructions how hot do they get do you know? Thanks ash
