Ah okay mine is EFI and I would love to stop the 'thump' in reverse or atleast lower it. My XE has a really nice soft clunk into reverse and it is also EFi. Must be something I can do!

Is yours EFI mcfly94 or carby ?

I would love the answer to this as well, my EFi has been jolting into reverse since I got it and I still can't find the issue. I actually blew my first transmission reverse gear because of it. Any ideas?? My vacume hoses seem fine but I really can't see anything there

venetians are a bit of a mission to fit not too difficult though. you have to remove headrests or just remove the rear seat to fit them in, the bottom legs go down to the bottom window rubber and the top ones wedge in the top window rubber. then just tighten the screws and secure them and its done

XF Ghia foglamps and XF S pac foglamps were Hella 155's. I have a NOS set on my car, they fit perfect in the factory mounting brackets.

I inspected the globe holders multiple times but my ones have an earth wire exiting the holder (looks factory) and it joins somewhere in the tail lamp loom. I'm not actually sure where that earth leads. Any more light on the subject would be good. Photos even of what to look for? I can take a photo tonight of what I have in my car.

I've read that thread however thats if your brake lights arn't working whereas mine are working fine. For now I've taken the bulb out on the second unit I have and just use that for now. Would like to find a fix to the problem though i can't seem to believe its 'unfixable'

I realise its a common problem but there must be some sort of fix for it? Sounds unlikely to me that a few trip computers can have the same problem. Sounds like something in the actual wiring system?? Does anybody know where the brake light switch earths? I had a good look last night but it looks like its going somewhere up into the dash.

So you put another one and it went away? Or is the bulb just removed?? I just find it weird how 3 trip computers can do the same thing. One of them didn't have it for a while then it came back. I had a good look at the plug last night, I saw that the previous owner for some reason hooked up one of the green/red wires from the loom to the cruise control red/green one and then just left the original cruise control one hanging from that loom. I wired it back up to original, there are two green/red wires going from the trip computer loom and they are both wired up correctly. The cruise control green/red wire is now hooked up to the actual wire its suppose to be on the cruise control loom.
