89 XF Falcon ute 

 Trying to put a heater coil in the heater box behind glove box... Does anyone have the easiest way to do such a job..

Own a 89 XF ute. 6, with a 5spd floor shift. Without having someone charge me through the nose to split the box from the donk.. I am getting a crunching when shifting and it wont allow me to change downwards (5 to 4, 4 to 3, 3 to 2). Have checked clutch fork on side of box and seems tight.

Question is? Is this the sounds of the box that is gone or is a clutch kit in order..
