  2. the best cheap tyre i had on My stock wheels were 215/65/14s Bridgestone supercats.
if they are the same as they were 5yrs ago, i'd be buying them again.. they lasted well, gripped well in the wet and dry and handled corners well.
Mine will come up for sale soon 2yr old very little wear

So, I need to get a set of new tyres, for standard x-series wheels.
Who would've thought, tyres to suit stock 14 inch rims, would be so hard to come by!

What tyres to all you guys have on your 14 inch stockies?

    I run 195 60 14 white wall by kumho

  4. Is there any performance gain out of a billet rail ( thinking more fuel flow )?
Or is it simply something you can shine?
I don't known much about injection but as I ashom bigger objectors the bigger the fuel that why I run the holley I can ajust my air to fuel mix.

  5. No photos but I try to explain
I have 6 cylinder tank no internal pump like Fairmont's, I have an external electric pump for au2 .
Inside tank is pick up , which has elect to run fuel gauge on instrument panel or dash .
    Fuel gauge fluctuating.
Been told by auto elect that internal pick up needs to be replaced or repaired

I'll remove next couple of days and try and clean with acetone see how that goes.

  9. thanks  l did disconnect the battery as well , l should have mentioned that  all symtoms tell me now , that it is more likely than not , that it's the ignition system the sparky has been twice and diagnosed it twice , yet he still cant find the problem , no codes showing etc
he went through the elimination process , and ended ringing a ford mechanic who said it could be the EBCM under the dash above the left knee and /or the instrument cluster
so far that's as far as we've gotten until the key guy comes around and does his bit
like sands of time in the hour glass , so are the days of our fords  (  Cue Music  ) :unsure:
My 2 vehicle is au2 ute I had similar prob after fuel pump problem. had ecu rebuilt $800 found 2 and 3 gear sensor fryd by previous owner .not a prob now.

  10. Yeah, I'm a little concerned about how much rigidity you will lose, if you cut the whole thing out. The bonnet may twist or warp. Tell your boily to do it in small pieces, and try it for fit, with the minimum amount of metal removed.
Cuttings between masking tape then stickaflex brace parallel to plenum for support refer to early bonnet photo.1b0f74e860f9c1816d4e659e01da8f06.jpg767727bcc0bf17087f399228008fc8f1.jpg

Found boiler maker to remove brace then trail fit bonnet and if that does not work remove more then rubber side like shaker full lengh cost NILL$ what my idea for other that want same .230a04fa81fcf32322903cf14f72015c.jpg

  12. if you are careful removing the ribbing there's probably enough clearance to fit it under the bonnet, probably wont need to even remove the full brace, just cut in half and try it..
phase 5 scoop wide enough? or off set, i don't think you'd need a hole in the bonnet, but then i haven't seen many carby 4 litres, there has been a few though.
what happened with the fire? lucky it was fairly small
    Back firers while tuning .

3.2 ml expose after measuring eb manifold should of shaved before fitting and deepen bowl COST!!

Inside sguare edge has to be removed see fuel burn is from holley . I mite leave open no scope expose plenum and paint black and follow color theme.17b5348f8828ec9235c7d5c24b90cbc7.jpg
