My open centre bw diff makes ratcheting and clunking noises wen I go around a corner with drive engaged ( its quiet wen rolling / in neutral ) Obviously it's cactus and I need a new one , I'm just curious on wats causing it and if anyone can explain it ?

Open center diff = NFG Yep haha been through a few diffs , still on my original gearbox tho (touch wood)

Is it possible to swap back to x series breaks on an e series housing ?

Its as tho the axels are locked together , coz when I turn the inside wheel chirps then clunk , and so on . It wouldn't be possible the sun gears are seized on the pinion and the clunk is it jumping teeth ? I've got a el diff ready to swap in , just waiting for this one to break

I'm having a problem with my hot xflow running on after I cut ign . I'm told its got 10.5-1 comp and im running 10* static timing . the question is if I run a colder spark plug will its stop the run on ? Or any other ideas ?

I'm running NGK R bp5's atm , I'll try 6's and see wat happens . I've got a modded 650dp on it , and its a c2 cast head but its been ported and chambers cc'd out to 55

It's a fresh engine , run for less than 3hours lol so carbon is out and the cam is a fair size . I'll have the msd by the end of the month . I got a button clutch so it's a bit violent wen I let it out but if that's wat needs to happen then ill have to deal with it

I'll richen it up a bit at idle n see if it helps , it seems that if I let it idle for 10sec or so it stops easier . I don't have any msd yet but to have a few tfi dizzys . I'm looking to lock the timing but not sure how to go about it .

Is that the sure cam slydog ? I've got 250* at 050' atm , might have to build another bottom end for it ! I'll have to stick with the tfi dizzy and msd for now crazy , budget is a bit thin lately haha

I would but that poor old engine is cactus , poor maintenance and lack of oil saw it wipe a lobe or 3 . I've got the gears but with the engine I have now their really isn't much point .

If u still wanna go N/A , jus use a stock as a rock bottom end , stock c2 head 110lb springs a 528 camtech and a 4brl carby . I used to smash 5lt commodores down the strip , even with 2.77 diff . Revved it to 5.5k rpm every chance I got and never had an issue . All you would need is a stall for the auto and your laughin .

Wats the strongest engine mount ? Bar solids I've recently put in some super pro mounts and its only been a month or so and the drivers side mount is split in half Wat engine mounts does everyone else run ?

I'm running genie headers (with a 3 into 1 collector at the back instead of 2) 2 1/2 mandrel bent into a aerochamber and a small hotdog No video coz its seized but as soon as its fixed ill get a vid lol Bugger it lol can hear the big end knock over anything .
