RDA rotors don't have a very good reputation for quality. I'd take them back and try to get another brand.
-
Yeah that's too dear, be cheaper to buy the parts seperate. Get most of it at Jaycar cheaper.
-
Sorry I didn't reply sooner re the fuse amps, I'd start with 35 amps as said above.
-
Here's a basic diagram for what you want to do Chris. Nothing wrong with switching it yourself, just don't forget! Add a fuse between the relay and the fans for safety's sake.

Whatever you do get a spare one and write on it and use it as a test one before touching the real one. You probably already thought of that though.

sanding/grinding discs that allow ya to see what ya grinding

Wouldn't they just fly to bits then? -
http://www.ozfalcon.com.au/index.php?/topic/442-cheap-auto-paint/ Look there if you haven't already, 2 pack vs acrylic is something you'll probably have to decide for yourself! It's a hot topic When I do my "other" car I'm just doing it acrylic buffed up. It's an old way of doing things but the car is old and I don't want it much shinier than original anyway.

Wet and dry would probably be faster but last time I stripped paint off a bumper I just used cutting compund. Get the paint off,put some new supercheap wheel arch moulding on to replace the chrome strip, give it a go over with tyre shine, and it should come up great!

Hahaha exactly!

Hi guys, I've just bought a universal boot release kit to put on my XE sedan. My question is could anybody post up a pic of how the factory solenoid is mounted in the bootlid? If they could it would be greatly appreciated. I've figured a rough way of mounting it but I don't think it's correct. Thanks, Brendan.
-
Got it all done, pretty easy. Didn't even have to take the rocker panels off. A great addition to any car I reckon, will make life a little easier.
-
Thanks very much for that, I understand how it goes now so I should be able to mount it tommorow. Cheers, Brendan.

Don't use the septone whatever you do, I painted a motorbike tank with it and it was horrible. A proper auto paint supplier should have something affordable in their range that will be usable.

I've got a stebel nautilus on my daily ute, they're as loud as the twin trumpet type but look stock. I'm gonna put one on my little motorbike one day, that'll be fun.

Yeah, if you could get all of it off with the sander then no need for the converter. I found motospray's vinyl spray is ok, but I agree that alot of their other stuff is a little lacking. Not living in the city I'm pretty limited to what I can get, the stuff sold in the basic auto shop is all can use sometimes. Thankfully just because something is cheap doesn't always mean it's crap.
-
That should work fine. Fertan is a good one too. The stuff from supercheap that looks like lime cordial is not so good. Most of the converters from bunnings are like that too.
-
I'd hit it with rust converter/dissolver just to get every last tiny bit of it before priming.

Rear shocks for XF, best for bumps.
BBS XE replied to mcfly94's topic in Steering, Suspension and Brakes
I'd like to know what's good and what's not in rear shocks too. Problem is everybody has a favourite and nearly nobody can agree on one. I have heard ultima themselves are pretty good for the price. My cars got what's probably the original Monroe's in it and it still rides nice, and the roads around here are absolute shite to the max. Lot of people recommend Bilstiens as being great but unless you can get them on the cheap somewhere you could nearly buy another car for the ones I've seen. I wanted to put pump ups in the rear of mine as it's sagging a little but I can only find them in Monroe brand and they're not cheap. The Monroes you've linked to seem well priced and with the 3 year warranty I can't see how you'd go wrong. Funny you mention your local *******, I wouldn't take a billy cart to my local one either. -
Worth a sticky I reckon.

Where are you at? I'm going to have a hydraulic pedal box from an XC V8 for sale soon.
-
Thanks for that, I'll get a few quotes when I get to it.

What would one roughly pay for these types of systems, 300-500?

All awesome guys but I reckon Satans Reverence's is my favourite. I would like mine to sound just like that but maybe just a little quieter. Is the muffler just a standard type one? I thought maybe with mine I'd just get 2" going off the pacemakers on it with one standard muffler, or would that be too quiet?

When you get a new spigot bearing, find your nearest bearing shop and get it from there instead of Ford or ebay etc. You'll save about 30 bucks.
