  1. Just rereading through, the old cam was dialled in at -2.

Now running a Camtech solid roller CT2021 471-108

    258/262 @50 .685/.698 lift 108

Had the heads shaved to 57cc so my comp is now 11.5.

  2. Had the heads cnc'd at chi and now they are a Duggans getting the valve gear setup. They have put in a slightly larger intake valve, they had 2.07 didn't ask what the new size is. They gave it a three angle valve job, originally it was only a single and picked up 20 cfm. So now the heads flow 340 cfm at 700 thou. Chi quote 314cfm @700 on their site.

  3. Is the glove box all part of the dash in this model? I had a friend that in his HR, the inner glove box was a plastic insert that could be removed. So then he made a a board to hold a cd player and installed it in there, so you opened the glove box to access the cd player

    Something like these.

    .

  4. I helped remove a c4 and 302 w out f an Xm then we replaced it with a c9 and 351w. Fitted easy but the trans crossmember was already modded.

Pan fill c4 (c10) probably won't work due to the rounder front. Stay 157 tooth fly and you won't have a problem.

  5. I can take them Back to chi and they will give them the cnc treatment to make them the same as the 215 2v's they do now. They told me $1100. I had already checked out that avenue, as that was my original plan then I thought I would get a price on bigger heads.

  6.

I'm running 1 3/4 4into1 pacemakers twin 3" to the diff x pipe and single muffler in each and 2.5 tail pipes. I'm sure flow is not an issue as it's quite loud.

    Toploader and 9" with 3.5's

The cam,,, I could ask but when it comes to their cams its secret squriel time. I had to ask that many times to get the info that I have.

I am only trying to find out if AFD are any Good and if people have used the in the last couple of years? As I don't want to throw cash away on crap and when ever you get info its old and not pretty.

AFD quoted me for complete heads sp4vs, roller cam, lifters and intake all comp cam stuff $4500. Was told easy 600 hp no extra cnc as cast and can use current comp gold roller rockers

CHI quote (not from CHI) 225 3v heads setup, roller cam, lifters, intake, cnc intake, and shaft roller rockers $7k 620-630 hp, gold rockers now no good. Even take the rockers away and its still $6k.

I like the TFC it feels like it has more legs than the air gap. When I swaped it over I had the oil issues in the intake, so I did not get a good comparison with the ass Dyno. Now the clutch is shagged and thinking of going auto if I don't get the heads.

  7. That's what I want to know, if they are right now, you guys have all the info that I have found. I just would like to hear from people that have used them recently, nobody seems to talk about these heads after 09 ish.

  8. They quoted ready to run heads. Has he had any issues with roller rockers, the info that I have found says that's where an issue can be having to use different rockers. So are they all machined up and he just sets up the springs?

  9. Anybody used the afd 4vs recently? Been doing a bit of research but most of the info I dig up is not later than 2009.

The quote I got for the CHI's was almost double of the AFD's for a comparable setup.

  10. On this engine the tfc is fine as by the time the cam is kicking in the manifold is working so I didn't really notice much change, arse dyno said it had more legs thou.I have just stuffed the clutch so I cannot get it on the dyno. I'm going to rebuild the toploader to bullnose spec and I dont want to buy a clutch to use for a month or so.

  11. Not sure if anyone is following this tread still but, I'm looking to see if there would be any interest from members before I try ebay, I am thinking of selling the heads and both intakes, to help pay for Chi 225's and a roller cam.

Not really sure what they are worth .

The air gap and heads have been port matched to the felpro gasket and the TFC is full height and untouched.
