Looks great,
Will the method described above also work for the XD front rubber lip?

emailed ebayseller aussie_auto_restorations
and asked if they sold a kit without the bolts, they made up a kit of 20x speed nuts only and posted:

As title suggests, how to remove the chrome and the plastic clips without breaking. I don't have a need for them so would rather on sell than break.
Cheers

Seeing as though I am taking off both front guards makes sense to remove front bumper and clean up also.
Any advice on how to remove the front bumper appreciated, cheers.

the method I been using is:
clean
get as much rust of with wire disc on drill
por15 metal prep
por15 rust preventative paint
por15 stuff is expensive so unless you have abit to do I wouldn't get it.

If its original paint and they haven't been off they should come off OK. Use a heat gun and slowly clean off the left over gunk.
If you want to sell them let me know. My XD S Pack is missing one.
not sure if selling but will keep that in mind.
speaking of which you can buy this set for a cool 1k start bid LOL

Will taking them off rip paint off the panels? Was thinking to give the car a cleaner look with only the s pack orange stripe.
Also if replacing how do stick back on?
cheers

scratch previous post! got it sorted, must of been heatstroked!
are these the correct bolt kits?:
-
dammit, cant get the middle top screw off, next to the rubber bonnet stopper. the back of it has a thin metal washer nut (im sure there's a name for it). screw just keeps spinning and cant get anything underneath to hold it.
any suggestions?
also how would you go about putting it back together again?
cheers

When screwing guard back on should I use seam sealer, along the top bolts?
-
Howdy all, as title suggests. To remove is (if I remember from 15yrs ago) bolts along top, behind the front wheel, remove indicator and there is another bolt there?
Was going to clean it up, use POR metal ready and then spray matt black the inside the of the guard. Sound like a good idea? Any suggestions welcome.
Cheers

How'd you go JGP?
Yeah not bad. I set the hose on jet and ran it over the area, couldn't see any leakage. In saying that I reckon its still a good idea to replace the seal, at least then I can check if there is any rust forming etc....

ending getting this:
steel body, when it arrives I will write something up.
-
LOL it seems that jack has had a 1k price increase>!?!?!?
anyway, is aluminium body ok? call me old school but I might go for a steel version..
-
good call mate I will get a hose onto and check it out.

Gents,
In todays heavy melbourne rain I noticed a drop of water where the rear window demister is connected (see pic with orange circle). Does this mean the rear window seal needs replacing or something else is going on?

my XR6T has a plazmaman unit 450 x 350 x 90 mm running about 310rwkw. I can feel heatsoak on hot days in traffic, if you have an option I wouldnt use the stock one. At least go for the typhoon spec.
