    Exhaust Shops in VIC

Happy to travel a fair distance if the price makes it worth it. Hardest thing the exhaust guy will have to do is remake my secondary. I'm keen to hear the EL with duals too

I'm in the Casey area, but I am willing to travel. Eastern and Southern suburbs are no problem for me.

    anybody done a custom headliner?

Do the XH headliners have foam under the fabric? If it's crumbled away like they do in commodores, you may want to scrape off all the old foam and lay on some fresh foam. I think the thinnest clark rubber sell would be a good thickness to use. I once tried to redo a headliner, and went too thick on the foam, which made it real difficult to refit into the car, wouldn't sit under the seals and such nicely. If you need advice for a DIY job, I'm happy to help.

    XF not running on petrol

I saw two bolts that also went through the LPG mixer housing, took those out. There was a lot of silastic around the mixer, so I'll cut through that next time I get to play around with it. Got access to the tap and turned it off today, didn't think to start the car to see if the gas is shut off. I'll do that just before I have another go at the carby.

I'm leaning towards buying a good working carby, then maybe rebuild mine slowly. Where would I turn the lpg off? Do do that from the tank? Or is that via a knob of the lpg line leading to the mixer? It's the air cleaner bottom part that I wasn't able to remove, I'll have another go in the next few days,

Exhaust system for a mild 250Xflow

I'll be setting up my XF with 250 Xflow for daily use, with broad torque in mind. Engine will stay stock aside from a towing/lpg cam, a bit of headwork and maybe roller rockers. I have a set of Pacemaker headers, and thinking of going a 2 and a quarter inch piping from there all the way to the tip. I'll run a high flow cat, a hotdog and a straight through oval muffler. Most people run the muffler in the middle, then the hotdog up the back. What are the advantages/disadvantages if i run the hotdog in the middle and the muffler at the rear? I'm not fussed about exhaust DB, or if it cackles on downshifting. I'm not a fan of drone, though I have a T5 so I can get the revs low on the freeway. Is 2.25" piping good for what I have in mind? And does anyone have a exhaust clip of an alloy head 250 Xflow with a tow/lpg cam?

I think I'll cut thru the seal with a knife. It should all lift off easy after that?

Exhaust system for a mild 250Xflow

Thanks guys, I'm based in Melbourne. 2.25" is the cheapest option for me currently, as I'm decommissioning a car that has the mufflers I'd need for a 2.25" system. I'm a long way off getting a different camshaft, so I'm happy to settle with a 2.25" for now.
