Anyone familiar with 01 tickford xr6 vct untis

Hey guys thought this might be worth a try, a mate of mine was doing the head gasket on a 01 xr6 and he removed the vct unit and is now unable to put it back together haha is anyone aware of a digram or manual for the vct unit everyone he has spoken to has just gone

Seems strange that the vct needs to be removed to take the head off yet know one knows how to put the vct together lol

I havent actully seen it myself but from what he was saying you cant actully remove it in one peice as it has no backing plate as soon as you remove it gears fall out everywhere lol. so if he was to take another one off another car he would just have two of them in peices
