Easiest Carby upgrade for more power

Recommended Posts

Hey fellas, the title says it all
Looking for the easiest carb upgrade
Heard of the weber 38 has anyone done this? how does it go and what's your L/100km
But does anything else bolt straight on
also its on a 250 crossflow
Not looking for anything too crazy that'll end me in trouble
Cheers

what's done to the engine?

if it's a stock engine you won't get any "upgrade" really.  the cam and valve springs are the biggest limiter of power.. well aside from an engine that's out of tune or worn out.

the 38/38 weber is a bolt on, it opens both barrels at once, so will use more fuel around town, probably won't make a noticeable power difference on a stock engine, be easier to find a used Holley 350 and 2 barrel manifold someone has removed (350 holley similar specs to the 38/38 but won't bolt on to the stock manifold like the 38/38 does)  though the 350 holley won't make much difference if any on a stock engine.
