Demmo 295 Posted March 9, 2021 just a quick question my mate has fitted a xf falcon carby motor with pedal setup into an old truck and has lost the accelerator cable. can anyone tell me if the cable from a efi motor is the same or not. hoping this info will reduce his time looking for replacement thanks Demmo Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
deankxf 20,266 Posted March 9, 2021 depends what year the pedal is from? if it's from a ute/van from 1988 it takes an E series cable.(or can but they are longer) otherwise XE is same as XF upto 1987 at least... V8 ones are longer that's from memory of well over 10yrs ago.. should see if the mounting suits at the firewall.. they have a 45 degree angle on the mounting flange on the XE XF early.. the later one it mounts the cable outer to the pedal bracket 1 slydog reacted to this Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
