Changing XF Vacuum dizzy rotor

Recommended Posts

Two blade screwdrivers resting on the dizzy body to lever it off.If your concerned sit a rubber sleeve or cloth over the plastic but it should come off easy enough.before you fit the new one wipe some anti seize/high temp grease on the shaft. Not much just enough to act as a lube...

Holy shit i got it!, sprayed it with wd40.

And then put l shape sheet metal bracket on the edge of the dizzy and tried to pry the old rotor off, eventually it snapped the rear of the rotor, but still didnt get it off.

Then it snapped the front it off until the plastic cylinder was left, then i lifted the base black plastic and then put a flat plate on the dizzy internals and pryed the plastic centre piece of which also snapped off, man the thing was rusty as!

Luckily it came of and theres a fresh new one on there :)
