Panko 2,480 Posted August 19, 2020 Does anyone know what rating the fuse for an EL HEGO sensor is? Im converting the XF to EL injection, and my understanding is the HEGO has its own fuse. Is this correct? If so, what rating? @SPArKy_Dave @Thom either of you guys know the answer? Cheers
SPArKy_Dave 8,863 Posted August 19, 2020 Without looking - 30A is my guess. It's one of those large plastic fuses near the battery on e-series. edit - yes
Panko 2,480 Posted August 19, 2020 Thank you. that is a heavy load with any luck ill have it running with EL injection by the end of the week 1 1 SPArKy_Dave and deankxf reacted to this

Panko 2,480 Posted August 20, 2020 @SPArKy_Dave or anyone else does the HEGO have to earthed via the ECU or can it be grounded anywhere? id imagine anywhere, right?
SPArKy_Dave 8,863 Posted August 20, 2020 3 wire sensor - Black White White Black is sensor signal to the ECU. White is heater 12v supply and ground. (not through ECU)

(not through ECU) thank you again. on the EL ECU pinout, it has an earth listed for the HEGO, but i figured it can go anywhere on the body, which you confirmed. 1 SPArKy_Dave reacted to this
SPArKy_Dave 8,863 Posted August 20, 2020 loom colours as follows - sensor signal = dark green/dark blue stripe heater 12v+ = grey/yellow stripe heater 12v- = black/dark green stripe heater power matrix = battery - fusible link - ign fuse - ign switch - hego fuse - o2 sensor. (no relay in circuit) 1 Outback Jack reacted to this
