dex 2,065 Posted July 26, 2020 Missus’s winter white ba has what looks like “ stained paint “ , from what looks like ct18 truck wash or something that was let to dry on it at some stage in its life . question is , can I cut and polish ba winter white with out removing the clear top coat ,? 2redrovers 21,389 Posted July 26, 2020 Is that plain white or a metallic? If it's plain then I'm pretty sure it won't have clear coat. Solid colours are usually "direct gloss" but some may have clear for uv stability (some red for example). Either way you should be able to cut and polish no problems, should be plenty of paint thickness to work with before you get into trouble.
