EFI PUSHRODS..

Recommended Posts

Is there a company that sells a stronger better PUSHROD for the XF EFI ENGINES.., I rarely ever go pass the 5000 rpm,s, YES the SVO does do it, but I keep bending the RODS, when I do, so its a rarity..also WOULD it help to change the LIFTERS?..CHEERS.

Precision sells 3/8” diameter Trend pushrods in whatever length you want, but they're not cheap at 18 bucks each.

You often have to go with fatter pushrods when they're as long as those on a crossy.

Are you running stock valvesprings? If so, you might be getting valve bounce, which will bend pushrods in no time.

Double valve springs on it,..and you said PRECISION, is that there full name..?
Precision International, and their website is quite comprehensive. They deliver promptly too.

Maybe it's just that long pushrods don't like rpm, whether you're using stock springs or stiffer.

Crow sell 5/16, .110" wall thickness pushrods and most sell 5/16.080" wall. 3/8 pushrods are also available as gerg has highlighted.

The stock pushrods are marginal at best. 5/16, .080" wall would be the minimum I'd use.
