Cobra alarm replacement remote

So guys got an ancient cobra alarm (model 436) in my 90 Na2 fairlane. It still works perfectly except the remotes are literally falling to pieces. 

 

From speaking with cobra alarms they say it's 305mhz and non rolling code and from my own research I've found it was an aftermarket dealer option on certain fords and Holden's (vl era hdt and xf era falcons). 

 

Can anyone recommend a replacement remote? 

I've tried mrminit who after programming one did work but only about 1 out of every 7 keypresses (on average it varied) and I have a remocon lrt-1 learning remote which supports 255mhz to 500mhz but it won't do it either (works on my garage and previously on dad's ef xr6 factory system) 

 

Any help would be appreciated there is just no info out there and I'm starting to lose hope
