1972 Escort Panelvan

for the running gear, could  consider the mx5 engine and 5/6 speed, looks like the fit pretty well.

they are a pretty good engine, the early NA model are 1.6 and later NB are 1.8 with 5 speeds, with the MY00 getting the 6 speed manual,

this is in a mk2 Cortina

on the escort you will have to cut the radiator shroud and move it forward, same as if you were fitting a 2L Pinto.

FYI. the 2.3L Duratec from a n/a Mondeo or Mazda6 would be my choice, and the MX-5 6 speed box bolt up to those engines, and fit into a large aftermarket manual tunnel  :D

if i was going to build another one, that would be my choice of running gear

Was a quick demo of Big Bertha for BGDAV when he stopped in. That's the cheap burnishing grinder thing I got from ebay.

The one where I wore half the roller away, cleaning two doors, and a quarter? 🤔
