Ooooh! :)

i am surprised at the value of them.

reckon i looked for a few months for a $50 one though, and even that one needed the globe holders glued onto the housing due to the plastic all munted

Yeah they're not cheap but they are brand new.

Not sure what they would of cost for a brand new genuine one back when they still made them?

It's a pity people put XD-XE-XF, Panko discovered when he was fixing his wagon up there is actually differences between them
Yeah i read that alright. It got me thinking if the one I purchased will fit because I think it said the same thing (XD, XE & XF)?

Whats the Ford part number on the back of the plastic?

Does it have small locating spikes across the top edge of the plastic housing?

Ford charged $65.98 trade price or $75.40 list price and lenses were $6.39 trade or $7.30 list each. So yeah 20 years now when these were still available from Ford new. They were suggested price by Ford not what dealership can charge though

Hey Dave,

Back of the part has the following numbers;

84DA-17N388-A (There is possibly a second A at the end)

Assembly 84 DA-17N 391-A (Again, possibly a second A at the end)

TOOL NO 44ZNLP 855

It looks like there could have been some tabs on one edge, however all but the middle one are missing - see picture 9faa1d3a62b59af4c3b8f24b56a603cc.jpg32e1e64fdc7029ac4fca5a6d0020352d.jpg8d5ad870698d2c659d96e25bd57db7d9.jpgb2ed9462d7ad19615b8c51fb277cd5ee.jpg

Hmmmm well mine's an '85.

Maybe I'll have to remove the old one to compare?

The earlier 84' ones I have, don't have the little pins or seal.

The 86' has the pins and seal

the 87' has the pins, and no seal.

Yeah, your's may not have the pin - holes in the tailgate.

Whats wrong with your current no.plate housing?
Firstly, the reverse light lenses are broken. Secondly, the previous owner lined where the number plate fits in, with black tape. He said he did this because it was cracked.
I have only peeled back the bottom edge and yeah its badly cracked horizontally across. Not sure what else the tape is hiding further up?9113b9987b2c34b5896ab7e453c69be7.jpg

this guy is selling a driving light mounting bracket from an XD.
Would anyone know if this also suits my XF?

XD are different, they mount the spotlights in front of the grille.. so no go on the XF

the XF lights have built in spot lights, they see for miles when in good condition.

the fog lights (mounted under the bar just bolt to the bumper irons from memory?)
