Aussieyobbo16 7 Posted October 21, 2018 Hi there. Can anyone tell me where the ignition relays for the gas are normally located on an xg ute. I’ve had trouble getting it started and have been led to believe that there’s an issue with the wiring between the standard fuel system and the gas. deankxf 20,288 Posted October 21, 2018 could be anywhere, but on mine it had one near the brake booster ( take a photo of the area) and one on the inlet manifold cutting power to the idle control solenoid on gas. what's it actually doing,, or not doing? what gas system is on it? does it start on petrol then switch to gas(if so, it needs to run on petrol... sometimes the fuel pump stops and therefore it wont start on gas)
Aussieyobbo16 7 Posted October 21, 2018 It doesn’t run on either fuel. On both fuels it turns over and sparks but it’s not getting fuel. I’ve just now discovered that the control unit for the gas has been removed the a previous owner.
deankxf 20,288 Posted October 21, 2018 what do you mean by control unit? the guage/switch.. it wont work on petrol without the wires hooked up there that need to switch the injector relay on(that's my guess anyway) cant tell really by description
Aussieyobbo16 7 Posted October 21, 2018 I was referring to the little black box under the dash. But I’ve sorted the problem I think 1 deankxf reacted to this
