gerg 10,871 Posted August 20, 2018 Reverse rotation, but coolant still flows the conventional way? ie, out through the top hose? The only reverse-flow setup (I think) I know of was some Corvettes in the 90s (with the LT1 engine) sent water through the heads first and pushed it down through the block. Supposedly allowed more compression, timing, less emissions, blah. It was obviously a dead-end because LS motors went back to conventional in that area. Did a bit of research on the baby Windsor, had a XR Falcon block, crank, ported heads with screw in studs, etc.. wish I made it all happen, now. Dude at my work had a powder blue XM sedan with a 302 in it, made me drool everytime he started it. 1 CHESTNUTXE reacted to this

Valvebouncer 2,389 Posted August 20, 2018 Dunno mate, never dealt with the spider thingy. That shim is the rocker cover gasket. If they are ok you can clean them up and reuse them. They stick like shit to a blanket on the head though! 2 NZXD and CHESTNUTXE reacted to this
