Might be this guy's. Or he might have owned it at some stage, definitely would know the owner regardless. He's into them.

A 202 in someone's bowel

Seriously though, that would be a Bolwell Mk 7, a kit car that looked very similar to the Nigari (I like them more actually) and most had Holden 6s. Some may have had Windsors or Ford 6s. The Nigari was their first turn-key, factory built car you could buy off them complete, with Ford 302C or 351C running gear.

Did you need to clean up that crank? Looks a bit average in that shot.

Believe it or not the crank is better than the one i picked up after it was linished, been at it since sun up now sun down doin heads now but no pistons or rods46d1dcd8cc69c433e00655701edc6010.jpg3acebc08690656e793f150923059812a.jpgf25a225e7a61959b80616e916f8555c7.jpg

What are the differences in pin height? The rings on yours seem to sit lower on the margin from the top ring to the face is thicker on yours, possibly pointing to a taller deck height compared to the other ones you pulled out.

If you stand them up on the rod end, you can compare compression heights roughly

Gerg yur right about a service or warranty engine some of the rods have been re stamped, also need 010 big ends and std rings coming along ok pistons clean and does anyone have a clevo dizzy gear for the std dizzy ?930fdc207e2fdb5f7b7a8382de2491b4.jpg785dc380e349aaf769102197ac231453.jpgf357f6b438b2405b5b09f5a8a63eeb55.jpg66f9f1daac88c4787db9cf5fc1041e4b.jpgcab2146cae233d5427788a4046ab1869.jpg

there is a slight difference in piston bowl depth,im just gunna put 1 of my other pistons on the rod to replace the broken one, probly only about a few cc ,slight difference between 1971 and 72/3,just goes to show that red devil 400 is rare with 8cc dish and 9.2.1,this motor would be 8.5.1 approx circa first unleaded i reckon.

I can't remember if Ford played with dish size or piston height or both to get the lower compression in the smog motors. Sad times... So much potential for that motor but it never had its chance to shine in factory form

Interesting that they don't have that big gaping hole hacked out at the front of the valley (above the dizzy drive) like a clevo does. It seems to rely on the oil drain back holes in the valley itself.
