So what is the go when trying to find the correct Speedo gear for say 2.92 ? The black spiral thing is the big gear i guess ? I also managed to get the navy seal out5e509ac0ffd537ca15395b5ca41ab291.jpg7b203eae9547515a65f06b24749f4dda.jpgc59b13a8626b717a83aae639fde5f115.jpg

No that black rubber seal is for the yoke . Depends on the yoke you use it's likely not needed .

The speedo runs further forward . Speedo gear is same as what a C4 would be

Up to you but I be going over all the spot welds and even welding up and plating engine cross member before putting such large engine in a xf ute.
Late model xf are not built the same as a xd or early xe in steel quality. Even xg were ordinary.

good question banno i didnt realy think about anything like that, cause once an alloy manifold and waterpump are added it brings it back to even lighter than a std 351c and fmx,or very similar,it wont have air con but i orderd the correct 400 saginaw pump bracket from the states and im hoping the std crossflow line will bolt in ,cause im using a saginaw pump ?

I think banno was more concerned about the amount of instant torque that 400 will make, it might start stressing things a lot quicker than your old xflow would have

Yep seen these start cracking all the place and do have quite amount of flex later models. Torque and weight and underrated suspension is a great mix.

so what do you recomend ? strip the engine bay or blast it back to metal and get a welder to do some stuff to it,or just some spots without stripping the whole engine bay.
