gregaust 319 Posted January 27, 2020 Speedo will go right in . Just be sure to use the correct gear L servo is an ok one to use Does look very clean , depends on you use a shift kit may be a good addition. Boingk 862 Posted January 27, 2020 3.45 with a standard stall would be a bit of a hoot, but if it were mine I'd rock 2.92s and go a bigger stall. Power when you want it and still cruise when you need to. 1 CHESTNUTXE reacted to this

gerg 10,871 Posted January 27, 2020 I reckon a big torque monster like this needs the tallest gears possible. Otherwise, spinning it hard in the lower gears just wastes energy spinning itself.Sent from my CPH1903 using Tapatalk 1 CHESTNUTXE reacted to this

Boingk 862 Posted January 29, 2020 Looking good from the photos, honestly that crank seems fine at least how I'm seeing it. If you can't catch a fingernail on any of the scratches they should be okay to use. I linished mine with some strips of 1200 grit and WD40, not sure if it even did anything but they look and feel okay so I'll take some measurements and chuck it back in. The real nightmare was my crossflow... that thing was hammered and the crank looked very much less than ideal but again no fingernail catch so I slapped it in, ran 20W-60 and spun it up to 6,000rpm. Still holding 50psi oil pressure, too. 1 CHESTNUTXE reacted to this
CHESTNUTXE 7,299 Posted January 29, 2020 i hit it with 600 and my nail can catch one of the mains but maybe olm8 can polish it out ,also look at the beefy flywheel bolts compard to arp alternative, also i dont fall for the 3 card trick very often but i got done,i bought this 400 p/s bracket from the mustang ranch in america and it looked much longer than the normal xd/xe p/s bracket cause the taller deck i figured it needed a longer support bracket for the pump but nope it looks exactly the same as a normal xd/xe bracket so i paid a lot of money for something i could have got here ,it must be the actual 400 p/szx pumpzx bracket that is longer im on the case atm ,also cleaned up all bolts, and all are in gc,also orderd 400 mounts from usa ,and got good info how to make the 400 fit in xa/xf stlye chassis, just make a 1/2 inch spacer plate under the plate and raise the titanic, but air cleaner must be no more than 2 inchs. 2 gerg and bear351c reacted to this
bear351c 10,270 Posted January 29, 2020 Don't worry about the size of the bolt heads, ARP are good at what they they do. Modern technologies, different metals, machining processes, all contribute to "different" things that do the same job. Like seeing the rebuild photos, good info for all us "Non 400" Clevo drivers. 1 CHESTNUTXE reacted to this
