gerg 10,871 Posted May 23, 2018 Just had a thought......... haven't changed the floats in this carby. Probably the cause, they get saturated with age, and act 'heavy'. Will change them out next week, going back to bed.Yeah that'll do it, another thought I had (yeah dangerous I know) is that if you're running 98 as many do, it doesn't atomise as well as E10 when cold. They don't formulate fuels for carbies any more so keep that one in mind. I know you'll probably cringe, but E10 is all I've run mine on and cold starts are never a problem, even with the choke-less 650 vac I had. Just 2 pumps, crank and fire, idle up for 10 seconds and drive! Sent from my CPH1607 using Tapatalk 2 bear351c and Outback Jack reacted to this

bear351c 10,270 Posted May 24, 2018 No, I've seen it already. But, realised that I didn't change them when I did the rebuild earlier this year, should always chuck 'em and replace. Hit me like a housebrick in the dark.......... 1 Outback Jack reacted to this
