Max Payne 1 Posted February 12, 2018 Hi All, My diff is offset in my ol girl and and one wheel pokes out about 5 mm more than the other so I was thinking about putting a 5 mm spacer on that side to make it look the same, Would this be safe still? Any info would be appreciated. Cheerin
bear351c 10,260 Posted February 12, 2018 A common issue with older Fords. Most boys in blue frown on the thin plate style, multi stud spacers, but you can buy a better quality set, (dearer of course) that actually bolt to your existing hub, and have 5 studs mounted on the actual plate. Unsure of the sizes, though. Maybe fit a 235 on the left and a 245 on the right..
deankxf 20,233 Posted February 13, 2018 i wouldn't run different size tyres, no good for the diff for starters.. what car is it? if it's got stuffed bushes it might sit that way

hendrixhc 10,918 Posted February 13, 2018 I heard you can run a 17" wheel on the drivers side and a 16" on the passenger side to compensate for the weight of the driver so the car sits level. Also better for turning left at speed. 1 Valvebouncer reacted to this
