Aussie speed rocker cover weldable?

Recommended Posts

I'm in need of a oil breather can for my crossflow and I've seen people with welded fittings on a Aussie speed cover, are they all made out of the same material mine looks to me like it would be a prick to weld. 1b516ec8c22b10a6e67f82b4f956a923.jpg

Yes they are all sand cast. They can be welded. You can expect some impurity in the weld due to the sand cast material but it comes up ok.

So any decent boily should be able to weld a fitting on to it then ahah

Shit that's clean.

Next question should I use one of the exsiting top holes and chance ruining the top of the cover or drill a new hole on the side, and benefit/disadvantage of it being top or bottom?

I'm pretty sure you can get bungs that use a thread and thin nut all you do is drill the hole slide the bung in, then the nut tightens from the inside of the rocker cover. But weld in is probably a better option
