BobStrop 3 Posted June 6, 2017 Gday, gday, Ive noticed after a decent drive (more than ten minutes) theres water coming through the carpet on both sides! Ive had a good look underneath and cant feel any moisture at all...what would be running under neath and coming through as the car heats up? And this is regardless of rain. Thanks! deankxf 20,287 Posted June 6, 2017 has a leak somewhere.. most common places: door seals, plenum rust, windscreen leak.. its not going to have condensation from a dry floor.. it must be wet under the carpet in my opinion 1 MNTL.XD reacted to this
Valvebouncer 2,389 Posted June 6, 2017 As Dean said or your heater core is leaking . 2 deankxf and MNTL.XD reacted to this
BobStrop 3 Posted June 6, 2017 Something must be leaking but its completely dry until a decent drive so i guess its heating up and steaming through? Shes got no rust and it definitely happens after a week of no rain...
hendrixhc 10,920 Posted June 6, 2017 Check the floor drain plugs are installed, not split and sealing correctly.

Usually heater core leak will be passenger side and plenum leak will be drivers side. Pull your carpet back and have a look.Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk 1 Outback Jack reacted to this
Outback Jack 6,352 Posted June 7, 2017 Be heater core cause ya say leaks regardless of rain or not... Carpet goes round it so water goea under carpet just to make it harder to find.Check hose connections at firewall too.Jack.Sent from my GT-S7583T 1 Valvebouncer reacted to this
BobStrop 3 Posted June 7, 2017 Underfelt is dry too...Ill check the hose connections at the firewall. Can you point me in the direction of the heater core? And where are the floor drain plugs?
Stu5766 394 Posted June 7, 2017 I also reckon heater core. Get a pressure tester on your cooling system & check for leaks. Also if it's leaking as much as you say, you will notice your coolant level dropping in the radiator. Heater core is behind the dash in the heater box. You can bypass it, but it will be a long cold winter. 2 Outback Jack and Valvebouncer reacted to this

Get the engine hot first, if it's wet your heater core is f&@ked.( I think I just inadvertently wrote a porno) 2 Outback Jack and MNTL.XD reacted to this

Mechanic: I've got just the tool for it & we can work out the bill somehow. 1 Valvebouncer reacted to this
