gas research wiring diagram

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

I had a fire under the bonnet a while back witch took out most of my wiring.

I've rewired lights, ign, etc, but not sure about the gas side of things.

Ideally a diagram of the wiring connecting the coil, cutoff valve, primer, peel cp30 etc.

But any info would be appreciated.

Cheers Peter

No problem.

Questions:

1. Is it duel fuel?
2. Is it closed loop?
2b. If it's closed loop, what closed loop controller is it?
3. Is that a peel CP30?

Did you replace/repair the wiring to the boot. Deankdx's pic is correct except it should be lock-offs (plural). There's a lock off on the tank. It's probably obvious but I thought I'd mention because you seem like a novice with gas.

There should be a 2 core wire running from the the back of the car. One for the lock off and the other for the fuel level. Although given the peel box you have you may be using a gauge interface in the boot and jumping on to the fuel gauge wiring there, which is pretty standard for straight gas.

Duh should have read the title "gas research". No such thing as feedback with them (as far as I know).

Yea I am a novice when it comes to gas just needed to be reassured.

Smithy's in bayswater fitted the gas and the fuel gauge to the original petrol gauge.

Looks a bit different now with a face lift
